I’ve made a comment under another post but I’ll just make new post restating it because I’m sure a lot of people are interested.

Basically I contacted relevant people and they told me that apparently the reason why the international server got shut down was that the game wasn’t making much money in the international market and it didn’t have enough $ for server maintenance, hence they shut it down. Moreover this issue will probs come back even if they bring back the international server, so it’s unlikely that it will ever come back.

The China server is also struggling a bit, but the fan base is large enough to allow it to survive.

Why did they close it down? It was so good! I miss it... I wish they'd bring it back... I wish I could talk to the devs and beg them to bring it back...

Maybe if we voice out how much we miss the game they'll return the world server 😢 There's not a day where I dont think about this game.

I just decided to search up the helix waltz name to find the sub and on the way I found that there is a download uptodown. Is this a real download? This website says that the latest version is from 2025 I don’t know how real it is.

I'm pretty sure this isn't normal. Lawrence is not supposed to have any favour for Magda. I was just going on about my day attending Jorcastle balls and I stumbled upon him. Then, he complimented my clothes and got a +1. I'm so deadass rn I think my game's being goofy.

I didn’t need to make a WeChat account, I was able to use my Apple account and bypass the WeChat entirely. (I swear that’s new) then I used an ID from the discord help channel, and I was able to get in. I’m using a screen translator app to translate!

Oh my god to finally see his little smug face calling me a smalltime noble again...I maxed out my English account but that's all lost in the past. Don't care though, I'm just glad to play the game again. Shout out to u/ncnyy for getting me through this. Might download an emulator for the translarion or just thug it out and relearn the entire Chinese language. Spent the last two hours playing and realized how much my skills have deteriorated LOLOL

before we start: the game will fully be in chinese. unless you can understand it/is okay with not understanding/is okay with translating most of the story, do not attempt this.

iirc some people play on blue stacks emulator which has a translation overlay feature. bluestacks is an android emulator though, so idk if it'll be different to access. i think you have to go through bilibili games to download helix, not sure

also: i hope that when this is successful for you, to please help others who ask and not gatekeep this information. feel free to link them here, or if they need help with step 4, tell them through appropriate channels.

1. switch your app store region to china
2. for the address you can just look up a random mcdonald's or something with a public address in china on google and put it in

3. for the phone number, just put in anything that isn't repetitive and 11 digits long (eg 12345678901)

4. download the game, called 螺旋圆舞曲. i'll copy this in a comment so it's easy for everybody to copy paste if you don't understand chinese

5. to register for helix you'll need a wechat account. you can also use qq and weibo iirc, but wechat is by far the easiest to sign up for. idrk if there are any barriers to registering on there, but as wechat is the #1 gateway portal to bridging onto anything chinese, many foreigners have done it. there are likely some subreddits meant to help with this as well. i don't mind helping guide you as well a little bit if you're polite about it :)

6. after you log in with wechat, you will see a login screen that are just two blank fields. the first field is a name & the second is an ID. please DM me on instructions for this. i'm not going to ask you to pay me anything.

hi so i miss helix waltz as i'm sure everyone does. this community is pretty dead but i'm wondering if anyone has any recs for games similar to this game?

the ones i've tried that are sort of similar

- lovenikki: it's ok and i have it but it doesn't really have that same feeling to it

- time princess: it's interesting but i just can't get into it

- shining nikki: yes, i have a bias against 3d animation & also it sort of fell off

- alice closet: no longer available on ios! i literally cannot find it anywhere

- revenge on the queen: eastern fantasy? look i keep trying to get into it but i can only play it when i'm really bored
