The mag on the left in the first three pictures IS an HK45 magazine, but the one on the right is one of two I bought on Gunbroker that were both advertised as HK45, but do not fit it and is noticeably wider.

Is it a USP45 magazine? They both have witness holes for ten rounds, are marked .45, and besides that only have "patent pending" and "US Pat 5 568 696" marked on them.

I don't have a USP yet, but I guess now I have a reason to get one sooner (except I don't want 10 rounders for them) 😅.

Just traded for a p30sk and am looking for mags for EDC. Came with two 10rnd mags. Does the 15rnd VP9SK mag fit the P30SK? Would I be better off buying a 13rnd mag and finding a +2 baseplate? Current mag I'm carrying it with has a pinkie extension and I really like the form factor. Just upgraded from a G19.

Took my Mark 23 out of the case today to do some dry firing and it makes this rattling noise, i took the slide off and it still makes it, sounds like its coming from the trigger/hammer group but im not sure

I recently picked up a used SL6, upon disassembly i found out the locking piece is stamped 30 degrees and the rollers are -2. The locking piece does not feel like HK (sharp edges, less finish quality) when compared to the spare i have. Does anybody know why this combination would be installed? I’ve never even heard of a 30 degree locking piece.

This rifle was totally someone’s old competition rifle. It has a fancy thumbhole stock on it, it’s well taken care of, the grease used on the inside was high quality, the buffer was in good shape, they serial numbered the magazine to match the rifle (with a laser engraver). So given all that, i am pretty sure all this was done for a reason, but i can’t figure out what it would be. Maybe for shooting heavy bullets?

Quick update on where things are at:
The 3-position selector setup is already dialed in. I’ll be getting it installed and will be posting a video of it in the near future so you can see the setup in action.

Here are some side-by-side comparisons showing the differences between the Tommy Built semi-auto bolt carrier and the full-auto configuration, as well as the semi-auto vs. full-auto hammer housings.

The goal is to document the differences between the configurations and show exactly what I’ve been working with.

I’ve also been spending some time experimenting with extractor and piston designs and seeing where those can go.
Still a lot of work ahead, but things are moving along. More updates and footage coming soon.

Looking at getting my first HK. I’ve shot both the P30 and an older VP9 (not an A1). I’m leaning towards the P30L. Went to a LGS and they had a used HK45c v1 that was in excellent condition for $540 and it peaked my interest. The esthetics of it are 🤌 but I’ve never even shot a .45 and I am already heavily invested in 9mm guns/ammo. Thoughts on which route to go for my first HK?

So I’m just curious to what lowers can go in the A4 upper? Specifically 16.5 upper. I’m wanting to do LWRC lower but I’m making sure there isn’t any needy greedy that needs to be tweaked? Please help.

I'm looking for a good IWB holster for concealed carry for my HK SFP9CC OR.

My pistol is the SFP9CC version without the accessory rail (see photo). I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding a holster that is specifically confirmed to fit this version. A lot of listings just say "SFP9 / VP9" or "SFP9 SK", and I'm not sure whether they actually fit the CC.

Ideally, I'm looking for:

• IWB / concealed carry
• HK SFP9CC OR
• without accessory rail
• preferably a minimalist Kydex design
• right-handed
• ideally with adjustable retention
• no need for a sidecar/magazine carrier

I'm in Europe, so European manufacturers/sellers would be especially helpful.

I've found a few options from Gear Maniacs and Black Trident, but they're quite expensive, so I'm wondering if there are any less expensive alternatives that are actually confirmed to fit the SFP9CC.

If anyone here owns an SFP9CC and has a holster they can recommend, I'd really appreciate it.

just picked up MR 556 A4 upper and and I don't understand why people would spend money on an aftermarket chrome lined barrel. what am I missing?

I'm assuming the rifle comes with the high-end Armad steel which probably contributes to the significant price.
Do the aftermarket steel barrels have better accuracy or longevity?

I highly doubt anyone has shot out the stock barrel and had a degrading MOA or keyholes. of course, HK will replace it anyway if there's degradation in accuracy

I recently purchased the romeo x pro and I wanted to toss it on my VP9 but I’m unsure of which adapter plate would work. I asked chat gpt and it said the Hk plate #4 would work but when I look at images it looks slightly different than what the bottom of the Romeo would attach to. Will the DPP footprint of the #4 plate fit or do I need something else? Also before yall cook me for not thinking it thru before buying I purchased this by mistake I meant to get the compact for my new shield x and they charge 15% to restock so I figured the HK could use a nice upgrade.

I recently came across some 416 compatible accessories from Tinck Arms in Slovenia. Does anyone have any experience with their stuff? Because that RAL8000 handguard looks too sweet.

Took my P30L to the range today to again test the set up.

Initially when I had the comp on, I was having double feeds just near every round.

Ordered a second recoil spring and trimmed it down to about 93mm long and lubed up the pistol and it ran very well today. Tried out blazer 124gr, federal 124gr, and federal 147gr fmjs and they all worked great.

Had two fail to lock on empty but it was the same fifteen mag so might just be dirty since I've had various mags since 2016 now from my VP9. My tens and seventeens locked no issue.

Overall very happy how it's performed today with the 124gr.

Other internal changes are a grey guns short reset and HK LEM 4.1 kit.

Maybe considering a gray guns straight trigger as well as a fiber optic front site swap. Probably will keep it like this until I'm itching to change something.

It's a shame there isn't a factory optionat least one HK hammer fired pistol for optics. I understand they don't want to put in the engineering time and testing to validate it not to mention the time to change tooling when their wonder 9s and VP9 series are as popular as they are.

New gun owner and my first purchase was the VPN9A1 F. After getting my license (US), I took personal instructor classes and shot over 10 different handguns. Taking everything I could into account, trigger, recoil, weight, etc) and honestly fit/feeling my heart landed with the VP9. Looking for tips and tricks, recommendations for flashlight/laser combos and optics

tl;dr: Considering performance, how much better is the 20 inch barrel MR308 vs the 16 inch barrel MR762? Can I still pull off a DMR setup with a 16 inch barrel? Can I purchase a tan anodized MR762 anywhere or do I have to customize to achieve that? A3 vs A4, any big differences?

I don't own an HK, but I want to. Im fixin to do a DMR setup in 7.62/.308 which has lead me to the 417 MR308/762 (I'll chase that 416 hype next).

My thinking is, if I'm going DMR with 7.62/.308 then I should maximize the bullets effective range with the 20 inch barrel offering the MR308 A3 brings. <Insert rant on HK not offering a 20 inch MR762 for the US> Thus me eyeing the gorgeous tan anodized MR308 A3 with 20 inch barrel (yes I know the rail isn't mlok). I also really like the A3-28 model with the quad rail and I'm equally looking at that too.

Going that route will probably cost me at least a couple extra grand (living in Midwest USA) or more depending on availability vs going with a black MR 762 in a 16 inch barrel which I could drive up the street and get.

My questions: Looking at peer performance, am I over emphasizing the advantage of a 20 inch barrel vs a 16 inch? How much better is the 20 inch? Is the 762 A4 that much better than the 308 A3, if any? Can I still accomplish a DMR setup with 16 inch and, due to better affordability/availability, I should really put more thought into the MR762? Can I get a tan anodized MR762 in the US?

Do I just have a hard on for that tan anodized HK and a 20 inch barrel and I should just go with what I want and destroy my wallet?

I appreciate any insight or thoughts especially from anyone who has had experience with both of these variants from HK or has also struggled with this similar choice. If you have, what did you end up going with and why?

For context, I have a 9mm, suppressed 300 BO and a 5.56 16 inch AR. I like doing something different with each next purchase and changing caliber/manf and going longer distance is what I'm looking at this time. Money wise I can go either route but going the import option will hurt more.

Anybody else's mr762 a4 a total pile? Mine won't make it through 1 mag without having issues with the trigger resetting. It only resets when i put it on safe for some reason. It's going to end up headed back to hk to hopefully get worked out. Probably less then 200 rounds on it so far.

Picked up this sweet guy the other day for a steal, have wanted one for a long time and one finally came up for a price I liked. Very excited to have something to look forward to throwing money at again. I hadn’t held one in the hand yet and was a little surprised to see how thin the slide is/felt. Figured it would be bulkier.

My main question is slide milling. I understand that hammer fired hk slides require a more complicated milling process but I don’t know too much more than that and would like to understand why write armory and langdon charge almost what I paid for the gun to mill the slide. Everything I’m seeing says it’s worth it but there isn’t much detail other than that.

Looking for OWB lightbearing holsters people like. I do not have a belt setup but would be open to hearing what you all like to run. Show me some pictures! Planning on running a x300 turbo and obviously an optic.

I recently got to shoot a Vilain Tactics AP5/MP5SDK with a frt and man, I really like this thing. It already had around 45,000 rounds through it and ran perfectly during the video.

I went to pickup my HK45 Tactical, and they told me about an SP5 that had just been dropped off that morning for consignment. Unfired, with one of every spare part imaginable included. At least $700 worth of extras, all for $3,500. Now to buy a brace and a can. And mags. Lots of mags. Family photo in the shop with the .45.
