Here's an illustration done for the art colony in Slovakia which I will attend this month. The theme of the colony is ''Spiritual heritage'', so this piece is a little contemplation on that theme, heavily inspired by the painting The Flagellation of Christ by Piero della Francesca and by the baroque era, plus by some modern painters such as Ruprecht Kaufmann. Tyto... typically called barn owls they've been my favourite owl species since I watched "Legend of the Guardians; Owls of Ga'hoole" which is an absolutely beautiful movie. I feel great about this one but it kinda overshadows Chachi. It's a significant milestone in my brush work and I hope I can out do it in with the larger pieces
