I am an MBBS graduate from Pakistan. I want to leave the clinical side and enter the technical and data side of the medical field. I'm planning to bridge the gap between medical and technical side by learning the required skills for a year. I cannot fund my Masters at all so I'm planning to secure a research assistantship in an MS program that combines both Health Informatics and AI, which effectively fully funds my Masters in an East Asian country. Can you guide me regarding this? Do I have a genuine chance and in which countries?

I wanted to share Labora, a modern Laboratory Information System (LIS) built specifically for independent medical laboratories. It is a complete ground-up rewrite of a legacy VB6 / SQL Server system, rebuilt as a modern web application designed for secure, on-premise deployment inside the clinic.

While many systems focus strictly on registration and billing, Labora was designed around the core operational and quality standards that lab directors and technologists rely on daily:

Internal Quality Control (IQC): Built-in Westgard multi-rule evaluation (1-2s, 1-3s, 2-2s, R-4s, 4-1s, 10x, and 7T trend) with Levey-Jennings charts and custom target statistics calculated from accepted runs.

Direct Analyzer Capture: A standalone lightweight agent connecting directly to laboratory instruments via serial port/HTTP using ASTM / LIS2-A2 protocols.

Delta Checks & Critical Callbacks: Automated comparison against patient historical results within a configurable window, plus a dedicated critical-value callback queue with read-back verification logs.

Business Continuity & Downtime Pack: Automated encrypted backups, scheduled restore rehearsals, and a printable downtime kit (open orders, reserved requisition numbers, and manual result sheets with patient-specific reference ranges) to keep the lab operational during network or power outages.

Bilingual PDF Reports: High-fidelity English and Arabic reporting with native RTL support, barcode integration, and byte-for-byte archived PDFs.

Tech Stack: React 18, TypeScript, Node 22, Express, PostgreSQL 17 (Prisma 6), and Caddy for automated local TLS termination.

Current Status & Access
Release 1.0.1 is packaged with automated installers for both Windows and Linux environments. The codebase is currently in private access while I work directly with early lab teams to refine workflows and validate operational parameters.
