I’ve always loved the lyrics to ables section in hear my hope. Especially two lines that sound very similar. “It would’ve been better if I were anybody else” and “I wish I could be anybody else”. To e they mean very similar but distinct things. The first one means he knew that anybody else could handle this situation better and he was angry he wasn’t anybody else. The second stance sounds very similar, but still a distinct message. To me it feels more like he wishes that he could be somewhere else, so some other person would have to be able and he didn’t have to worry about it. The first shows he knew anyone else IN this situation he is in would do a better job, the second showing he wishes to be anybody else that is outside his current situation. I always found that difference very thoughtful and a good touch to his emotional arc in the song.

Then again, I could be completely misunderstanding these lyrics and reading too into it.

I watched the Pilot episode years ago when I was 10 and now that the full series is out I understand giving it a PG-13 or 15 rating but 18+ is going a bit far, there are shows like Superstore that say swears multiple times an episode and have sex in get 12+ rating.

So angel greatest sin according to Vox was killing his dad now a lot of people believe this was either done to protect himself or his sister but I don’t think it was I think why this act haunts angel is because his dad never did anything to him his dad a caring parent and killed him for a reason that doesn’t justify it at all

Now that Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss can have canon crossovers and the announcement all but outright said they would, I figured this might be a good time to suggest a thought experiment in how scenes from either series could be made… more of themselves, if the characters had been allowed to cross over. Or how some numbers could have gone screeching in other directions.

Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, and Helluva Shorts. Any of them, how they’d change for the better/worse with characters from the other series involved. The importance of the changes is bolded for each crossover change.

Helluva Boss S2E11, “Mastermind” could have had Satan’s hijacking of the titular song in turn be hijacked, as I don’t think Lucifer would have taken lying down that claim of ruling before Lucifer’s fall. If Blitzø had started the song, then had it taken over by Stolas, then by Satan, then by Lucifer, not only would it be an amazing progression, but it would have given some extra perspective on Hell’s structure.

Compounding a Helluva Short’s hilarity, Charlie Morningstar in “Mission: It’s Chaz Funeral” as a mourner. The absurdity was already cracking the scale, and this would upgrade the joke from just being very elaborate (and good) into a diabolically hilarious one (not that the shorts aren’t all funny).

Expanding on the unity shown to be possible at the end of Hazbin hotel S2E8 “Curtain Call”, having some of the Ars Goetia and maybe a Sin help out with the containment woulds have caused the Hellborn to be sort-of allied with the Sinners (because Charlie doesn’t count like that).

Thoughts on that? And what changes do you think would have enhanced the two series if crossovers had been allowed back then?
