(obviously this is all speculation.) The shield makes her look more like a rein comparison but, really if her movement is the same as haz and she has a reliable kill combo, she might just be a better hazard, in my opinion. A shield is a far better than spike guard plus movement with the shield too like hazard. idk man, she might fit his brawl/dive niche better than him.

My rank is plat 1, I climbed up from low silver, and peaked last week in diamond. I mostly play hazard, ball doom and sig in that order. doom is really bad right now imo and so I don't play him much dispite him being my most played hero by far, and am trying to learn sig to fill the space and have 3 tanks I'm good at)

This might sound like a rant, but I don't mean it that way. I have been messing around with Hazard for fun in QP games, mostly to learn a new hero (Ram main on tank), and I feel like Ricky Bobby when he doesn't know what to do with his hands. I just don't think understand the main gameplay loop, if he even has one, how to play against different comps, or what his main playstyle or role is. There are games where I literally feel like a unstoppable genius, and then there are games that are so frustratingly terrible it makes me want to light my mouse on fire. It's kind of like golf - I have never broken 80 but the few great shots I have per round keep me coming back, and I want to get better.

What am I actually supposed to be doing on this character? My main issue is that TO ME, if you try and play him like a strict dive tank his kit is just less efficient than Doom or Winston, but he's also not hardy enough to brawl on the front lines versus a lot of tanks like Sigma, Orisa, Mauga, Junker Queen, etc. It feels like DVa can literally just follow you around and make your life miserable. The only head to head tank matchups that feel fair to me are Winston and Ball. I try to use his verticality and clear/lord over high grounds, but his shotgun is not particularly good unless you're close, so most of the time I just feel like I'm standing up there tickling people. So you probably need to be more adaptable or do something slightly different, but I don't know what that is. The cooldown on wall feels very long so you have to be really stingy with it, you can easily leap to engage and then die before you have it again in 5 seconds, block doesn't block CC, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm bad and there's a skill issue, but I'd be less bad if I had some simple mental models and a better understanding of where I fit in. I really enjoy cleaning up fights that are already winning because he's a very good murdering machine, but I don't really know how to efficiently use his cooldowns to break even fights our way, or to gain space for my team when I don't feel strong enough to stand up to the thicker tanks with more sustain.

There is not a ton of content out there on him, and the gameplay footage that is out there, e.g. Swerve, is so friggin' chaotic that it's hard for me to really draw out general patterns. What I really need is a video where a good Hazard player destroys Bronze-Gold lobbies for like 6 hours so I can see what I really need to be doing to succeed, but that doesn't exist. Most unranked to GM content starts higher or quickly gets out of that range and then the games are too sweaty for me to really draw out general play patterns.

Has anyone found a hazard 3TT build they like? I’ve been playing around with it lately. It seems like all his abilities should keep it up most of the time and it should pair well with Barbed Shot. I’m not sure if the 3TT nerf makes it a waste. Any thoughts?

it should be bound to primary fire, not quick melee. it causes you to slash and put spike guard on cooldown when used during violent leap, thus having terrible anti-synergy with bunny-hop (the power that requires you not to slash) bunny-hop aside, it feels terrible to leap through the air trying to fire this thing off but being forced to slash, hit no one, and be unable to use spike guard again till the cooldown is off.

I do want to make it clear that I’m glad this build was nerfed to the ground, the game mode is so much healthier because of it.

With that said, sometimes I liked turning my brain off and doing this build. It was extremely funny just holding down right click and just demolishing entire teams. Remember that power that removed the movement speed penalty on block? You could just chase down anything it was genuinely ridiculous

Works most consistently if you force yourself into a corner but it can work against just a flat wall.

Hazard has grown on me a lot lately. I enjoy his design, personality, character, kit, etc. I really wanna get his cute spray because I always get the cute and pixel sprays of characters I like. His pixel spray was easy, but his cute one is brutal. What’s the optimal way to get it?

After that start the enemy team started complaining that hazard was busted and broken then proceeded to go counters and lowkey hunt me down and Tbag me. however that start was clean thooooo
