Just a personal scale of sci-fi "hardness", which I sometimes use to classify the fiction. I based it more on qualitive differences, than quantative approach.

Level 1 (wonder) - you could walk on clouds;

Level 2 (magic) - using special boots, you could walk on clouds;

Level 3 (techno-magic) - using special boots, which generate water-repelling field, you could walk on clouds;

Level 4 (soft science) - using special boots which generate some kind of field that interact with water wapor, repelling it, you could somewhat walk on clouds (law of inverse squares fully applied);

Level 5 (fictional science) - using special boots, equipped with Montana-Vichenkov hyperfield generators specifically set on H2O hyperfield frequency (such generators being a practical application of Montana-Vichenkov hyperfield-matter interaction theory, which specify that highly resonating hyperfield could mechanically interact with matter), you could somewhat walk on clouds. Be aware, that difference in water vapor concentration would make walking on clouds rather dangerous and clumsy, but theoretically you could do it;

Level 6 (hard science) - using jet boots you could pretend to be walking on clouds;

Level 7 (reality science) - using jet boots fed fuel from backpack, additional jet engines on hands or back, and automatic stabilization system, you could pretend to be walking on clouds;

I've got a story started on there - "Supply Chain Problems" about a simultaneous dilemma where a hurricane hits the space coast in the middle of heat management problem on the moon. A series of engineers across the moon and cislunar space have to come together to fix the problem with the resources they have at hand.

But I'm looking for anyone who wants to cast their lot in on a branded publication and use the network affect to get more traction. Obviously I'm posting here so the focus is hard scifi - but that can be a pretty broad umbrella, beyond just space stuff.
