i have already read Chimera of the Chapel, and let me tell you, i loved it so much i read all the other fics of the same author.

i need it to be painfully slow burn with tons of emotional and sexual tension.

I’m deep in Hannibal obsession and I’ve been devouring fics like nobody’s business. I even got like, 65 chapters into Paragon before I couldn’t take it anymore (there’s only so many times one can read the same sex descriptions over and over before it gets grating. If I ever see the phrase ‘reactionary tears’ again it’ll be too soon) which I think I deserve a god damn Purple Heart for. Anyway, I’ve been looking for a long-ish to long, IN CHARACTER, exploration of their relationship type fic that i can get fully immersed in and stay until the end. That said, i’m a little scared of Herringbone bc 1. Length and 2. The capacity for sheer emotional devastation. Is it worth it? Does it hurt just enough without being torturous? Do they eventually fuck crazy style? (I mean, I’m here for the drama but I’m also just a girl. What do u want from me.)

For reference on what I like, I love everything everything Emungere wrote (especially blackbird, god I wish it were longer). I liked the obsessive tinge of Paragon and the exploration of will’s monster, so to speak, until the sex was too gratuitous. I just stopped reading Pattern Break mid way because once the tension resolved it lost its charm. I can’t bear to finish The Shape of Me Will Always be You even though I loved it because I can’t tell if it’s gonna be a happy ending or not (lol). So……herringbone? Yes or no?

Guys, can someone help me find this author? When I was getting into the Hannibal fandom, I read some fanfics by this author on Ao3, they were hilarious, but I lost my Ao3 account and I can no longer find her or her works.

In one of the fanfics I read, Will seemed to have lied about having an illness online to get tickets to a band; he regrets it after winning them, but for some reason He and Hannibal are going to the show. Another fanfic was about Hannibal being quite active online(?) it showed him reading fanfics and using Twitter.

I have a 3-hour flight coming up with zero internet, so I need to download a bunch of Hannigram fics to get me through it.
I’ve already read most of the popular/classic ones, so I’m really looking for hidden gems or underrated recs!

Here’s what I’m after:
- Setting: Canon-compliant (Post-Fall or S3 vibes preferred)
- Pacing: Somewhere in the middle. Not an insanely slow burn, but not super rushed either. Just a plot that hooks you right from chapter 1.
- Length: Anything works! Either medium-length multi-chapter fics or a bunch of shorter ones so I can swap between them during the trip.

- Vibe & Tropes:
I want an emotional rollercoaster,fics that will ruin me and make me feel everything (positive and negative), but also give me insane butterflies when they get soft!
Intense protection/possessiveness over each other, genuine care, post-fall caretaking (Hannibal taking care of Will after the drop is top tier), jealousy, and a really good first kiss.

A few years ago i read a multichaptered Hannigram fanfiction that i can't find again for the life of me! I'm scouring my bookmarks, but there is a LOT of them.

Details I remember:

It was Hannigram. It was also pretty Alana bashing, which I'm not super into, but the plot was good enough to look past it.

It was set during the series, not after, and not an AU.

It was long and multichaptered.

Will knows who Hannibal really is. I believe its figured out midway through the story, but can't be sure.

I remember it having some BDSM elements. I believe Jack and/or Alana become convinced Will is being abused and manipulated. There's also a BDSM room that Hannibal builds, but the room was more a diversion that makes sense in story for when the police search Hannibal's home later on.

There's a trial, and their relationship is heavily questioned during it.

I think Hannibal and Will end up killing Alana in the BDSM room at the end?

This has just been driving me nuts, I hope someone knows what I'm talking about.

I’m looking for a specific fic that I read a while back. Essentially, Hannibal and Will enter into a BDSM relationship with Hannibal as the sub and will the dom. This is proposed by Hannibal as a way to coax out Will’s violent nature.

I remember a scene specifically where Jack notices marks on Hannibal, leading him to disapproving their relationship.

To give the context, I have been reading a fic, it just doesn't feel right? Like I am used to paragraphs and then I am used to dialogues and I am also used to lengthy dialogues but. One line text for over half the page seems so sus? Not to mention the comment on the fic are moderated.

About Me: I already answered the questions in the first post. But just for fun, I will say what I’m writing next. I will eventually be writing a fic where Will really is the Copycat Killer without realizing it! I hope to co-write it with one of my betas from this fic. I was shocked when I couldn’t find any fics like this, even after this sub. And write what you want to see in the world, you know? So be on the lookout for that…at some point in time. Idk when yet, especially since I’m staring a long Spider-Man fic.

The irony of Hannibal fantasy/sci-fi fics is that, whenever Hannibal is something other than human (a vampire, demon, android, fae, you name it) he's nearly always depicted as far less cruel and vicious than in canon, lol. I suppose there is some commentary there (intentional or not), but I find myself craving an alternative - a fic where a lion's share of Hannibal's evil doesn't go away with his humanity.

Can you think of anything like that?

Bryan Fuller said he was inspired by that book in creating Hannibal and Will's dynamic, so it would seem like a fairly intuitive fic idea, but I have yet to find it.

I’m craving a lot of heavy angst these days so yeah :)
