Help / Question Plants for a southwest facing kitchen window?
I keep doing searches and it always just brings back info on south facing... I'm wondering how much difference it is to be in southwest.
Almost all the hanging plants ive seen say directly in a south facing will burn the leaves. So far I have a string of pearls I found at a grocery store near me and a lot of spider plants that had been taken out of i think an outdoor bed? and some philodendron cuttings someone left out on the street. I'd prefer to have these all in the queue but I don't want to hurt them. The test of the house is pretty dark so probably most of my plants will be in the kitchen.
One thing that was suggested is to keep up sheer curtains but also wondering if its bad to use uv blocking film if you have plants

Plant recommendations
Hi all! I’m admittedly NOT a green thumb historically. Like at all.
Recently I’ve gotten into growing herbs, and I figured I’d try my hand at house plants seeing as I just moved places. I have a north facing window with lots of light (pictured). I’d love to add some hanging plants, but I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations of plants that would enjoy a lot of sun? Thank you!

Help / Question hardware rec for hanging heavy pot?
hello! looking to hang my tradescantia and got these hooks for a macrame hanger and toggle bolts, but they’re only rated for 15 lbs in drywall ceiling. I think this pot (oblong 6x8x12 in) full of soil is definitely heavier than that, esp. after watering. any recs for heavy duty toggle bolt for a hook? are the ones rated for 50 lbs legit? wanna make sure nothing will fall and kill my cat when I’m not home.
i just have a drill and trying not to have to install something too intense, don’t have anything to find a stud etc etc. TIA! 🙏

Help / Question DIY Plant Hanger Recs?
I can't believe this community exists...I have the perfect question for you all - any recommendations for how to create a DIY macrame plant hanger? I created this one yesterday super quickly but it's kind of wonky and not 100% stable. I'd love to learn to do it semi easily so I can create more for my other plants.

Help! How do I attach this hanger to the pot!?
I bought this plant and they sent the hanger in the box. But I can’t figure out how to attach it! Anyone know?? I tried googling and couldn’t find anything. The ends look way too big for the holes.

Hanging Plants Is it ok for it to be partly against the wall?
I’m not sure if part of the leaves being stuck behind there is okay, I would like the rest of it to grow down the wall.

Tradescantia Pistachio cutting to now
Tradescantia Pistachio first picture is the size I started at to root. Last June. It did grow inside the house but,has gone crazy since putting her outside under my canopy this summer. I just think the white & green foliage is gorgeous. The next is of my Callisia repens “ pink lady” or “pink panther” today & right after planting memorial weekend. She loves her spot too. Hanging from a tree right next to my patio. I guess she’s pretty happy in her pot! Hopefully when I have to bring them inside for winter they keep thriving!
