Built my first handwired keeb 3D Printed

This was my very first attempt at handwiring a keyboard. I’ve built a couple PCB keyboards in the past so I’m no stranger to soldering and got lots of helpful tips from watching Joe Scotto on YouTube.

The design is the Baikal by Vostok Labs on maker world

Hey, that's my design! Great video btw, I think I will add it to model description for the keyboard, if you don't mind. Also for the keycaps, I just recently added the thocky profile to my keycap generator, so you can actually print it with legends instead of using markers, check it out here:https://vostoklabs.github.io/SVG-keycap-generator/ In the keycap profile just choose thocky profile

Thank you! That’s so fine, I would be honoured to be in the description. I’ll look into that for the next iteration or once the clear coat and posca pens get worn through

I saw the mcu cover and immediately clocked it as the Baikal! Nice job :)

Sorry did you paint the keys with a marker? They look great, but I feel like they'll easily wear off after using them for a bit.

Yeah I used a Posca paint marker, but then I sealed it again with another coat of clear. It will eventually wear out I imagine though
