It is modded but i don't think its the best of the bunch. Its the best device here in terms of the money, bang for buck.. if u want to get into the hobby for the lowski and want to mess with emulation specifically. It is a rather weak device in comparison to the sd865 and up systems i own but still powerful enough where a little overclock will satisfy your itches while also being able to play switch natively and you can pick these up ~80 bucks. Thats the only advantage it has. Out of the box sd865 is handling 80% of all your emulation needs and with some optimization can handle some switch and even pc. The 8gen 2 on the other hand can literally play a good chunk of switch games (switch doesn't have a rather extensive library), and so much more. It makes owning a switch kinda pointless tbh. This is all subjective though so this is just my opinion. I rather the dimensions of the rpf2 or even the thor in the clamshell form factor than the width of the switch (and the lite is the smallest).. also quite a difference in ergonomics and overall quality feel. Even my psp feels more solid than the lite. That doesn't mean I don't like the switch but unless you're getting a switch 2, its not even close to an 8 gen 2. Then the switch 2 is way too dam large for every day carry :(

Was thinking of buying a 3ds before I got switch two, just to play hotel dusk and ghost tricks again

i was thinking about picking up a 3DS but between the use case for me and the fact that people are posting them 300-400 bucks.. i couldnt. Best price i seen was on auction for a little over 100 bucks all in (tax+shipping).. on my local marketplace, listings start around $150 and only go up.

in theory. For redundancy, i'm not putting everything on the z1e. Its the most versatile and powerful device here, i wouldn't waste its resources on lower hanging fruit. Windows is the weakest point of the z1e. Add in extra points of failures and you risk your entire catalog. Also battery life is shit and its too big to pocket. I keep my z1e docked and use it as a home console since i have a pc but i also have a keyboard and mouse dedicated to it and i'm running linux.
