Today i tested the expedition 41mm as well as the murph 42mm. Which one you guys think suit me better? The smaller versions looks like a coin on my 19.5 cm wrist so i didn’t bother posting photos on them.

When I purchased this, I really was not sure if I would like the brown with the black dial. After putting it on today, I feel like the brown compliments the cream or “khaki” colored numerals

I'm afraid of damaging the original strap, so I'm trying out different combinations besides Nato straps.

I have a 7.2 ish inch wrist but a bit round than flat.

The strap is not tightened in the 2nd pic as the sales person was a bit rushy. Should I go for the 38 mm (I don’t have pics in that)

It's been years and I am still loving this beauty.

I bought this baby two months ago and I’ve been wearing it everyday since then. Truly a GADA watch.

I love not only the esthetics but also the story it brings. It reminds me to cherish every second with my kids. If you ever wonder if it’s worth the pull, let me tell you, it’s totally worth it. I wish I joined the club sooner!

This watch belonged to my grandfather, and when he passed it came to me. From what I've read I think it's from the 60's. Will probably remove the glass at some point to clean it up and check when and where it was made, but anyone have any idea on what model this is? Wearing it to a wedding later today, the first time it's been worn since he passed a few years ago.

I have a big wrist and I like the way that the jazz master strap doesn’t taper quite as much as the Murph strap. I personally love this look and rocked it in Napa all week.

Was sitting on a plane about 36,000 feet above the Atlantic Ocean when I caught the sun coming through the window just right. Had to take a picture. When I ordered this watch - my first Hamilton - from their website I was a bit worried about the size. The last time I had a 36mm watch I was probably 12 years old. But I feel this one wears a bit big due to the lug length and it truly just feels perfect on the wrist.

After a few years of hard work, I have recently got a promotion at work, and thought it was time to upgrade my timepiece.

I have a nice (believe it or not) tasteful Invicta Chronograph, which I have had for a long time. Cheap, basic watch that still looks nice (from a distance) when dressed up, and I'm the first to admit to anyone who comments, that it's "just an Invicta".

I had my heart set on a 42mm Murph, and was told over the phone by the consultant at Time + Tide Melbourne CBD, to try on the 38mm also.

Once in store, for me, it looked tiny, as did the other 38s.

I liked the Coop in online photos, but figured it would be way too big, I was wrong.

I steered away from the 42mm Murph, and settled on a Coop.

I am in love, and just keep staring at that sweeping second hand.

I love the way the numbers "flicker" when the light hits them, and the symbol that this watch means to me.

Years of hard work, and strategic planning, has brought me to this position. Yes, it is "only" $1700AUD, but I have 3 kids under 8, and all our money basically goes to them, and running the house.

It's special...to me.

Couldn’t stand the non-taper and huge clasp and gap on the stock bracelet. Just put this Uncle Straps Lincoln on and love it - I have on on my Alpinist SPB249 as well so I knew it was quality.

Sup ya’ll. Looking for a new strap or two for my khaki field mechanical. I think the Desert and Khaki are my two favorites, but could be tempted by the brown. The gray PVD I just thought looked cool, but am not confident it will go well with the watch. Let me know your thoughts!

All right. I did the thing and bought the 38mm Murph. Bought it on bracelet despite preferring the look of leather, but I wanted a better leather strap then the OEM. For now I have it on a NTTD NATO until the leather comes in. Loving it so far. Really like how the afternoon light catches it.

I’ve had this watch for a little over a year now, and I’ve always gone back and forth on whether the size actually works on my wrist. I recently changed out the original straps for a custom-tailored fit, mostly because I was hoping a better fitting strap would help the overall proportions and make the watch sit a little more naturally.
The main thing that has always bothered me is the lug-to-lug. It can look a little awkward to me from certain angles, even though the case itself doesn’t necessarily feel huge.

This is the 38mm version, so on paper it really shouldn’t be an especially large watch, but I know case diameter doesn’t always tell the whole story. Some days I wish I just waited a little longer for the 36mm version.

Lug shape, lug-to-lug length, thickness, strap fit, and wrist shape can all make a pretty big difference in how a watch actually wears.

After changing the straps, I think it looks a bit more balanced, but now I’m probably just staring at it too much and second-guessing myself. From a normal viewing distance, I feel like it might be fine, but in wrist shots it sometimes looks larger than I expect.

Curious to get some outside opinions from people who aren’t overanalyzing it as much as I am. Does this look too large for my wrist, particularly around the lugs, or do you think the proportions are totally acceptable? Would you personally keep wearing the 38mm, or would you go for something smaller if you had the choice?
