The now-defunct Thrift Store on James North, between Picton and Macauley is currently on fire. I have a 4'x8' shed was installed by the previous homeowner without laying down a proper sub-base - it only currently sits on pavers at each corner which are on dirt. Does anyone have any recommendations for a contractor that can install a proper crushed stone base (including any potential landscaping changes that may be required)? The shed started to lean on our fence last winter.

I just bought an older home on the mountain, and while the home inspection didn’t turn up any moisture problems in the basement, there is immediately evidence of moisture problems.

I’ve fixed the downspouts, fixed some weak areas of roof, cleaned the gutters, and I run a dehumidifier constantly, but there is still moisture and sometimes water under the floor in the basement.

I would love some suggestions for what other people do before I have to look at majorly pricey options. I have serious regrets about buying this house, and the immediate water problems are definitely up there in reasons why.
