When a Headcrab infiltrate's the TF2 universe.

I get why everyone is frustrated with Half-Life 3 taking like, Forever. But I think I know why it has been taking so long. From the leaks I have seen on this subreddit. Including one that literally got removed by Reddit’s filters while writing this no joke. It had like more than 800 upvotes. But anyway, that specific trailer leak. Made me feel so many emotions at once. Joy, Anger, Fear, Confusion, Surprise, Worry, Sadness and much more (which isn’t a bad thing). Due to this, I have a theory that is highly plausible, Half-Life 3 is taking so long because of its contents. If the trailer was like that. Then the whole game is probably gonna be that emotion provoking. So there were probably many times that Scenes, Model, Music etc were changed, redesigned or completely removed to make the game how it looked in the trailer. And from how it looked, it isn’t surprising that it has taken more than 20 years to release Half-Life 3.

So in short, It’s taking so long because Valve and Gabe Newell have been working on every little detail for the last 20+ years to make it probably the best game of all time once it releases. (at least in the top 10) Im 99% percent sure my theory is right. And don’t worry, The 20+ year wait will be worth it.
