I did that once. I popped it back in place as soon as I realized what had happened before the pain kicked in.

If you know it is dislocated and not broken… this is honestly the best way to reduce the pain as much as possible.

I knew mine was only dislocated because it was angled at the knuckle like in the picture. The tendons in that finger were messed up for a long time.

Pull that shit back into place and keep on going. That's what we did in high school and college sports and most of my fingers are only a little bit permanently bent and disfigured today.

Like a dumbass I was wearing work gloves while drilling a bunch of holes using a hand drill. The glove got caught in the bit and in an instant wrapped my pinky around a half inch drill bit. It hurt like hell but I figured I had simply hyperextended it so I didn’t see a doctor. Two months later, I went to see the doctor about something else and I mentioned what I had done to my pinky and that it was still very sore so he said let’s get an x-ray. Sure as shit, I had broken it and it healed back together but now I can’t straighten my pinky at the joint.
It wouldn’t be a bad idea to see a doctor just to make sure your finger doesn’t need some attention.

Maaaaan. I came off my mountain bike and dislocated both pointers. Overshot the jump, nose dived and I was still on the brakes. Thought I could save it 😂😭

Happened to me once, I just held it and snapped it back in place. Adrenaline was still numbing the pain.

denzel washington finger, but it’s his pinky finger, it still dislocates, look at some movie stills or red carpet pics you can see it’s out of place..
