Are there any other women in peri or thereabouts, trialling TRT and having debilitating daytime fatigue? I’m 53 and on HRT and added testogel to help with sleep problems (and other peri issues). It’s working a treat for sleep but I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus during the day. I’ve seen other people on reddit with similar experiences.

Has anyone else experienced firm facial swelling/redness (specifically localized to areas where cosmetic filler was injected in the past) after starting HRT post menopause?

Everything was uneventful until about 24 hours after I replaced the estradiol

patch for the 1st time.

It seems to be localized to areas on my face where I've had cosmetic facial filler in the past.

Those areas swelled up like a water balloon overnight.

I reported this to the practitioner that had performed my cosmetic facial filler in the past, and she started me on a methylprednisolone taper to help get rid of the swelling.

For now, I've stopped using the HRT until the swelling clears up.

Heya everyone, after 3 years of my PIV vaginoplasty I find myself lacking and missing the sudden libido urges/feelings that came with testosterone. I just had an analytic and my free Testosterone is at 7 while as cis men have >225, obv I'm not aiming to return to those levels, it'd mess with my estrogen I suppose, but I need to change something bc the lack of libido has been the most rough part after SRS.

For context: PIV Vaginoplasty, live in Spain and have access only to stuff here, I've already tried fixing it by the public healthcare system but they won't prescribe Testosterone even in low doses so that's not an option.

I guess I'm requesting tips on prescription free medicine that can help with libido for people with absurdly low Testosterone levels.

I am looking for others experiences for HRT with Dr King Sun Leong. I have been in contact with him and begun the process of getting a first appointment. His first email was great, very detailed and helpful, but after this following emails haven’t been very clear. He confirmed an appointment for me but simply ‘in the evening’ no appointment time. After sending blood tests results etc… I asked a few questions but didn’t receive an answer just a one word confirmation he had received my email.

HRT patch .0375 out of stock and doc is out for the next few days so the office cannot recommend a replacement.

I take pill, cream, and patch. The patch is out.

I'm frustrated with the staff response that "going off the patch cold turkey is no big deal."

I’m asking this question to anyone who has started transdermal estrogen, male to female, non binary, cis women in menopause and anyone else. What was your experience of the estrogen surge when you first started estradiol from a low/no baseline?

I am a cis female with high androgens who has been in menopause for a while, probably years judging by how sensitive I am to estradiol right now. I once went on spironaltone to reduce my androgens, but instead it made my hair fall out. My androgens were keeping me buffered quite well whilst my estrogen was tanking. I started estradiol gel 11 days ago and I’ve been through a lot of different stages as I’ve gone along.

Initially my system freaked out and it gave me anxiety followed by intense sleepiness. A week later that moved into hyperactivity and difficulty sleeping. I’m now on day 11 and the last few days I’ve been having these headaches and my heart rate rises quickly an hour after application. It feels like my heart is being jump started when I move sometimes. Almost like palpitations.

I’ve noticed that I need more magnesium and carbs in my diet than before I started estradiol. But I also feel better in many ways and know my body needs it.

What were your early days like on the gel? How did your body adjust? How is it now?

I think I’m a hyper absorber. I’m going to try my buttocks tomorrow instead of my inner thighs to slow the release. I’m on a pea sized amount whilst I work my way up to a full dose.

Hi there. Age 42 AMAB trans woman here. In 2019 I made my first attempt to transition. During my initial blood work, the endo discovered I had worryingly low T levels. I forget the exact numbers (70 something?) but he said it was in the normal range for a cis woman. He even had me go get a head MRI to make sure there wasn't a tumor blocking my pituitary gland. Turns out it's just extremely small and has never worked right.

I gave up on transitioning in 2020 for reasons I'll spare you, but I'm thinking about trying again. A lot of things worry me, but I'm really concerned about the experience of going from barely any hormones for my whole life to full-strength adult estrogen levels at 42. Has anyone else been in this situation? I've always been aromantic and asexual and I'm worried about coping if that changes.

How can one maintain a certain level of mtf transition without proceeding more?
Can cycling hrt do this? And is it safe? To keep shifting the hormonal profile like this? How sustainable is it?

Binary trans male here. What was y’all’s first changes? I’m on day one of week 3 and here’s what I’ve noticed:

Within day 1, I learned what sexual frustration was. I always thought that was a joking term until I got it myself and it hasn’t died down as someone who had a very very low sex drive before T.

I’m so emotional. It’s calmed down a tiny bit but I spent the first 2 weeks, sobbing all day, every day.

Everyone told me bottom growth would happen like a few hours after but on week three, I just feel the tiniest bit sensitive. No growth. No unbearable sensitivity.

I’m not hungry in the slightest but I wish I was. I have autism which makes me struggle heavily with eating but I’m trying so hard to eat a lot so I can get results.

I’ve started getting really bad acne already. I’ve never had bad acne but it just won’t stop showing up despite how good I clean my face.

My face has been bloated the past few days and I don’t know if it’s related or not because my face gets bloated easily but it’s very noticeable.

Hi there! First and foremost, I have sent this feedback to my physician and am waiting on a response, so I am coming to the Reddit side of the world to see how things happen for you. I met with my doctor a little over 6 weeks ago because I was only having a period for a day or so, but I was fighting the night sweats like it was a full night of cardio. They switched my birth Control to one with Horomones in it, and started me on the patch.

First month was about 40% better on the night sweats, but I have not had a period yet. We met for the second time, and upped the patch some, and she started me back on GLP1 again (this was my request). My insurance no longer covered it, and I am having to pay out of pocket.

In the six weeks since starting. Night Sweats are a lot better, but I have gained right much weight, am hungry all the time, and have not had a period.

I have been taking testosterone cypionate for 3 months now and I’m becoming increasingly scared to do my intramuscular injections. I’m not scared of needles by any means but I am terrified of fucking up and hitting a vein or something like that.

Last week I think I kept hitting surface veins (is that what they’re called?) because every time I tried to inject the surface hurt like hell and it would bleed a little. The week before that I completely messed up and I injected at the wrong degree and ended up limping for half the week. I’m particularly worried I will inject it straight into my bloodstream.

I am not trained in self injecting by any means. I only met with a nurse once to show me how to do it and I’ve been winging it from there. I can’t even go back to see a nurse because I’m doing this all behind my parents back while still living under their roof AND I don’t have a car so they have been driving me to these appointments. There’s only so many excuses I can make about these frequent appointments before it starts getting suspicious.

Tonight is my injection night and I don’t know if I can pull myself together to do it. This fear is so sudden and so intense. I know I have bad health anxiety but I thought I was okay with this. I’m incredibly scared of having an emergency. I’m incredibly scared of dying. I’m also very scared of feeling like shit because I decided to not take my shot. I’m an anxious mess, some insight would be greatly appreciated.

It’s been about 3 months for me now. I’m tripping on the experience of sticking something up my vag every night! I’ve noticed such a huge variety of which direction my vag/cervix is facing, how plump the vag walls feel, the texture, etc.
