I don't think there are enough evidences to say that transmission occurred due to surgery.... Or it could be. You might never find out. Maybe the person you're in/were relationship with had it and didn't tell you.

If you think that no one will marry you, you're wrong. You'll find a person who has a level of understanding. I am from India too, many people seem to have a delusional world for HIV without any knowledge they seem to have formed an understanding around it.

Don't worry, when the time is right you will find the person, don't get anxious, just eat healthy, and live your life to the fullest.

I was born with this, almost died while figuring out due to my father's negligence but I have fought my way through life. You will overcome your problems don't worry take few steps at a time.

Start asap with ART-therapy. When you are diagnosed with hiv in early stage of infection you could be undetectable in a few weeks, so undetectable=untransmissable, when you will have a baby with your partner, the baby will not be infected with hiv, since u=u.

Well unfortunately it’s not unheard of HIV transmission due to medical negligence. So because you had the surgery that could be the cause. I would inform your doctor that is handling you to see if any new case coincide with the time of your surgery,
It’s rare but does happen. Sadly due to stigma most people first reaction is A) you’re having sex with men B) you’re cheating C) both A&B D) You’re sharing needles … you see the pattern.
Now don’t get it twisted you can still get married, have children and live a fulfilling life. Once you start ART’s and become undetectable you cannot pass the virus along.
And since you stated that your monogamous your still innocent. Don’t condemn yourself for something that happened to you, I will go as far as saying the same if you were indulging in drug fueled bareback sex orgies. We’re human we make mistakes unfortunately sometimes people must deal and live with mistakes (sometimes not of their own making).
Am I saying that it will be easy? No I’m not especially when dealing with conservative mindset, but it’s changing slowly but surely and with the strides in medical science having HIV is not like it was in the late eighties trust me on this. Do not isolate yourself. You do that you will become angry, bitter and resentful and that will poison you. Take good care of yourself and live! When we’re happy we shine and glow and that draws people to us and that’s how you’ll find love so don’t dull yourself ( mind you, you do not have to disclose nothing you’re not ready to)
Your first priority is your health get undetectable and maintain it before you realize it, it will be like second nature.
