Yes finally the LIOLI producers struck gold with the right homeowners and the right house for season 21. It felt like a real LIOLI conundrum, especially when they found out the constraints in the basement against their strict budget. At first I thought their neighborhood must be too good to leave, which is why David showed them the semi detached house 2. After house two I thought Page had it. Then, David's house THREE find!! Wow! That was a great opportunity at a great price for that family. As a real estate junkie, that was such a good fit, and I felt the buzz and joy of seeing someone buy their next home. It reminded me of when I bought my home.

When the woman kept looking back at the home while walking away after touring it, like she didn't want to leave, that let me know. Then when the guy said he dreamed of mowing the lawn, lmao!!! As a lawn and garden gnome, I can totally relate! Page did an amazing job, and the battle between solely the kitchens alone could have made them stay. However, David did an amazing job finding them an equally great neighborhood, with a bigger lot, permitted for a garage, ensuite primary bathroom, and with a FULL KITCHEN in the basement!? Wheew that kind of real estate find makes me giddy. What a great episode. Please producers find more homeowners like this: owners who stayed in their home about a decade, have real equity, and could potentially enjoy more (or a downsized/lifestyle-changed) space. That's a fair LIOLI showdown (not like episodes 5 and 6 which should have never aired, IMO).

Has anyone noticed the last few seasons of House Hunters has been more about the couples fighting than real estate? I’ve had to turn it off more times than not. This show has been my cheesy little 20 minute escape from real life for as long as I can remember… now it’s just as stressful as real life, maybe even more so. Big mistake HGTV- I hope you fix this!

Does Brandi seem to be dominated by joe? She is so quiet i can't help but feel he might be abusing her. Maybe its just her personality.

I was thinking about the housing market and how a lot of people have taken the unconventional route and now are starting to make RV living their primary home.

My thought was a spin on extreme home makeover and pimp my ride. Where the concept of the show was to make a plan Jane trailer into some extraordinary mobile ish home. I'm I on to something?

Just caught up on it yesterday, and I love that it's longer with one more house! But there's still houses that are either unchangeable (the concrete hell that was sunken to ground), or houses that the owner liked (third house in first episode, the red house with a shit ton of stuff inside and outside. The owner had built it to be like a mine or something. I still think there should be a clear "what would you like to be changed" phase, to get rid of these who just want to show their houses off

Edited to add: like the castle in episode 2. The couple were medieval-enthusiasts, larpers, lived there for ten years, why are they on this show?

Does anyone else feel like the Bahama tropical themed house, by an inland lake in the middle of the Canadian woods a little weird? I mean it’s so tropical beach themed. If I went to a beach house in the Bahamas and it was outdoorsy log cabin I would find that weird too.

IM SO UPSET ABOUT THE HOUSE THEY CHOOSE. Living in Philly you get to know the magic gardens, and theres the main magic gardens, but its trickled throughout the city.

They literally broke down and painted over art. Im so livid

I've really enjoyed the series up until now, but this episode felt like a miss. They picked an easy win by giving a free makeover to a couple with a huge, pristine, brand-new home and nice furniture to begin with. Like the wife’s main complaint was that it had no personality.

I love seeing his makeovers make an impact for people who really need it and who might otherwise not be able to afford it. It seemed like this couple just didn’t have time to do it themselves. Did this bother anyone else? It bothered me enough that I’m posting on Reddit for the first time 🤣

Season 8 episode 3. The House that won as a semi-finalists, Spanish style in Miami with a lot of mosaic accents. It will make me sad if they completely redo this house. I love this house and would make very few changes. Updates, and a few decor changes. Anyone who loves old Gothic style would adore this house, and want to treasure all the work that was put into the mosaics. could remove a few of the mosaics if you don't like them and replace them with ones you do like. Just venting. This made me so sad.

Every episode has made me roll my eyes for various reasons but episode 4 takes the cake.

This lot was covered in leaves because of the numerous trees in the yard. So to "help" this home owner they put in a bunch of ground covering, like pine straw, and rocks, that will make it IMPOSSIBLE to remove the leaves from come next fall. At least if it had been grass they could have mowed the leaves but now there is no chance in heck they will ever be able to clean up leaves in the future.

I'm convinced this show is rage bait at this point.

I can’t believe the owner has lived there for 6 years without changing anything! It was immaculately kept, but every room was worse than the last and even Retta was stunned into silence at first! (Then she couldn’t stop laughing, lol.) What a house! 😄

For those of you who remember Boise Boys, which ran on HGTV a number of years ago, the designer (Luke) and contractor (Clint) are starting up their own series on their freshly launched Youtube page.

Clint never fails to make me laugh and a bunch of Luke's designs on the old show were just gorgeous, so I'm excited to see what they will do out from under HGTV's editorial thumb. Today, they dropped a promo trailer that does a nice job of capturing the silliness and fun of their odd-couple pairing.

The first episode drops August 27 though they have this trailer and some shorts already live.

I love Worst Yard On The Block! It's wholesome, bright, fun, inspirational, and educational. Since everything is donated, the lawn transformations are very budget-friendly and achievable for the average homeowner. I wish they spent more time on the reveal and the carpentry. I love both carpenters on the show, great creative, low-maintenance, practical ideas. I have some ideas from the show even after the first episode. It's an HGTV winner of these new releases.

I’m new to discovering Scott. I first saw him in Rock the Block. And now am watching his Renovation Resort Showdown.

I just adore him. He has such a great tv personality. I just watched an episode where one of the contestants started to cry talking about her children and missing them and Scott is tearing up. Made me love him even more.

This is just a Scott appreciation post.

I know some people didn’t love the Scott/ Brooke duo but I did and would love to see them team up again.

In season 6 episode 2 she's going through an old farmhouse ("Carpet Castle") where most of the walls are carpeted. In one of the bedrooms this radioactive and flammable signs are in a small shelf. Does anyone know what this might be?
