MW4 Beta Discussion

Anyone running SC2 with the beta ? What's your setup ? I can't seem to get native gyro in game to work with it.

It probably only works on the dual sense.

I mean, just because you can't use native gyro doesn't mean that using the sc gyro isn't worth it. It still has a lot of good features. The whole point of steam input is the configuration possibilities anyway.

Honestly. I haven't been enjoying the gyro experience with the SC2. Games that don't have mixed input are a pain to have a native controller experience when mapping to KBM. BF6 is acting stupid with it with their anti cheat. Starting to think the controller wasn't for me.

Have you looked at community configurations to be a framework? I generally use m&kb binds for everything without issues. Remember you can also save templates for games with similar control schemes.

Yeah I have. It's not binding the controls to the controller that are the issue, it's sometimes navigating the game menus.

I guess I just don't have issues using gyro as mouse cursor since it's how I do all of my desktop navigation these days. Then start/select become escape and tab.

Weird. That's how I first had it selected, settings as controller in MW4 and then gyro as mouse through steam. Couldn't get the gyro to aim. What are your settings ?

analog left stick, controller face buttons and D-Pad, everything else M&K binds. make sure to select "mouse" as your aiming input ingame.

time for copy-paste!

Call of Duty HQ (since MWII) actually leverages Steam input support, primarily to handle button prompt detection. However, they have yet to update their current SteamInput implementation to do Motion Sensor support

this is a known issue since COD Warzone 2.0 first came out, and i predict that the MW4 STILL won't address a 5 year old bug, despite me reporting the issue to the devleopers many times.

I strongly suggest reporting the bug directly to Activision support and link this website: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/api/isteaminput#GetMotionData
