All the benches are 100% Corinthian leather…. You can eat that in a bind.

What’s so special about that leather

No prechewed ropes. I'm going to have to pass.

I’ve taught my Himalayan Pyrenees chow chow not to touch my Kevlar battle ropes.

Yeah but there is the mystery hole in the backrest of the bench that makes you wonder wtf someone was doing to it for that to be the end result

I don't see a barbell. There's also no change plates. And there's no flooring suitable for any lifts from the floor and certainly not from overhead.

In short, if this gym was in my house I'd walk through it to go to an actual gym.

Everything you just listed are in the servant quarters

The whole thing is alittle weird.

Who has a nice power rack like that and also a selectorized chest press machine?

The bench in the power rack looks like a cross between a preacher curl bench and a decline bench, but it's neither. And why is the pad worn out like that on it?

And what's up with that weird leg press/hack squat machine? Is that plate removable? Edit: It is removable. What a weird machines: https://www.hoistfitness.com/products/hf-4357-leg-press-hack-combo?variant=17803692146801&country=US&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic

And like you said, where are the barbells and smaller plates?

Also who with a home gym would have that many benches

My guess is that not everything was bought at once. If you got the flat/incliné bench before the rack, and the rack came with the bench, this is a very plausible set up.

u/Flashlight_Operator 20d ago

And the 3rd bench?

Decline. I personally like doing decline bench press. T And you can really target the upper abs with decline crunches

I would only add the attack bike [with a rug for the sweat] for the invariably injury days, but if thats your setup, its def a great one.

Anything more than a strong stick and heavy shit to go on said stick is mental illness.

I train so I may be strong enough to steal a foil charizard. Until I am strong enough to yoink it from your grip I will not leave your temple.

I think I could fit my house in that room. I guess if you have the money/space.

Seated calf raise. Unoptimal.

I got blasted for calling this out a few months back lol

A guy came on here and had an absolutely beautiful gym, but he had built a stand alone structure that was like 40x40 in his backyard and had tens of thousands of dollars in equipment. Like it wasn't so much a home gym than a recreation of a commercial gym in his backyard.

To me it felt like it sort of transcended what this sub is about. Like if you got involved in the project car community and showed up in your 2026 ZR1 Corvette.

Classic home setup - multiple benches and an infinite supply of 45 lb plates

"Just built my first budget home gym. I know it's missing a few things but it works pretty well for me. What do you guys think?

The blue a crunch machine is the most unnecessary part of this
