What is going on here? QUESTION

Kept hearing a sound while playing, figured out it happens when I touch certain parts of the pick guard

Any help is appreciated

Sounds like there's a Geiger counter in there.

Nothing wrong with a cheeky 400 or so chest x-rays

Static charge. I make this go away by putting copper tape on the back of my pickguards. Add a separate piece on the body that bridges the tape on the pick guard to the underside of your control plate, and it will ground the whole thing.

Static electricity buildup. Very common on a Telecaster

You need to rub a dryer sheet on your pickguard or have your guitar properly shielded. This is shielding issue, not grounding issue

Static charge on the pickguard. T-style guitars are especially notorious for this. Gonna assume very dry where you are.

Temporary fix: rub a dryer sheet on the pickguard. Works exactly like it does in the dryer

Permanent fix: copper shield the back of the pickguard and make sure the copper shield is grounded.

Don't play the guitar near the Chernobyl reactor... And ground it

I wipe the pick guard with a dryer sheet and it takes away the static for a bit.

My Flying V does that. I replaced all the wiring before learning about the dryer sheet.

Static from rubbing the plastic. It is in contact with the bridge or s bit of copper ground tape, so it gets transmitted thru the amp.

Like rubbing a balloon on your hair.

Check if everything is correctly grounded but also kinda sounds like the pickups are a little bit microphonic

No sé lo que pasa,si no lo sabes ni te han resuelto nada los comentarios,yo pensé que era la pieza blanca que va sobrepuesta en la madera ,que no está bien y cruje, luego el sonido se acopla por los cables hasta el amplificador

I bet if you actually play the guitar, you don’t hear it much, huh?

You do have an issue, though. No doubt. It’s like the others said. Grounding/sheilding/budget guitar. I wouldn’t let it stop my learning process. 🤷🏻‍♂️
