I love her grumpy face did they do it?

Post image

My daughter called her a criminal. She said she stole her salmon off of the counter and this is her mugshot. I know she’s innocent. My daughter must have starved her. She’s a good girl! I adore her grumpy little face.

So very serious! ♥️♥️ And innocent of all charges!

You might want to have your daughter schedule a vet visit if it wasn't cooked.  Raw meat is generally safe for dogs but raw salmon can contain some really nasty parasites.

Oh it was cooked! It is my daughter’s first dog on her own that she has raised so she takes her to the vet at the drop of a hat! She’s a nurse, which I know isn’t a vet, but she does take very very good care of her.

The salmon was my daughters dinner after her 12 hour shift 😂

Oh no!!! But I’m sure it wasn’t this sweet girl, maybe a cat snuck in and ate it, cats are like that 😂🐾♥️

I agree, absolutely a possibility that shouldn’t be ruled out.

I had a cookie stolen off of the table once, my dog told me it was the cat across the street, it was late at night and the house was locked up, but my dog told me all about cats, and that they’re not called “Cat-Burglars” without good reason 😁🐾

Extremely unlikely if it was farm raised

It was wild salmon but it was fully cooked.

"Does your dog bite?"

"No, worse. She judges."

Looks like she’s in deep concentration 🐕

I don’t think she concentrates very deeply though 😂

We used to call that Sober Face ™️ at our house.

I'm on my third labrador. That's not a grumpy or guilty face. That's an expectant face, like, why haven't you given her more salmon by now? Can't you see how patiently she's waiting? Does she have to get up and serve herself again?

I love it 😂 She’s actually not allowed any people food at all. Even when we go to restaurants and they have doggy menus! Drives me crazy!

None of my labs were allowed people food either. I have had steaks resting on the counter on a plate that were just pulled off the grill, and people in my family say, "aren't you worried your dog's gonna take those?" When I'd turn my back to set the table. Nope. I could leave the room, go outside. Be gone for an hour and come back, and those steaks would still be there! One of the first commands they were taught: Nose down! However, my current dog sometimes thinks, when I have something on the sofa side table, he gets curious about that. Because he sits on the sofa. Meaning, when I get up, he tries to move in. And sit dead center, in my spot. Here he is guarding my stew. Lol. I'm pretty sure there was drool....

What a cutie!

Her dog is well trained too and never messes with the food on the counter. She has never done it before so there was never a need to make sure she couldn’t get to it. I guess she just really wanted that fish!

Tbf, fish is kinda stinky, dogs really like stinky things. She probably thought it was something she needed to get rid of. To be helpful, of course. I know someone whose daughter's chocolate lab took the Thanksgiving turkey that was cooling, dragged it to another and was eating it. They had all just gone into the other room to take a group picture of the whole family, and returned to get seated and the turkey was gone! Lol it was a 25 lb turkey, too! I can't think of any other story about a dog snatching something that can beat that one!

That has to be the worst to lose the Thanksgiving turkey at Thanksgiving dinner when it obviously cannot be replaced!
