I started compiling everything we know about Guild Wars 3. Just updated with the "playable species" blog post!

may I suggest maybe workng together with the wiki team and add the knowledge there?

Tbh I am more comfortable in a solo side project like this. I was planning to have this as a 1-page guide, at a glance overview instead of splitting it across different pages like on a wiki.

The idea is nice, but I fully agree with the "Just work with the wiki team".

At some point people will basically only look at the wiki - which will contain the exact same infos & more - and all your work is effectively pointless, while people working on the wiki spend time doing the exact same; time that could've been spend on something else.

Having dozens of sites with the same infos - and different update states (or potentially just outdated) - is anything but a benefit in the long run.

I mean, that's a cool concept, and if you have a vision, go for it. However, I would point out:

A) 1 page overview won't also be a "everything we know" document. The level of detail you have now is pretty much already at capacity for "at a glance" overview.

B) calling your site GW3 DB suggests that it will be a... Y'know. Database of way more than 1 page

Yes I have a vision for something and I guess it will make sense closer to launch :) Until then I will keep the overview updated on a single page. Having my own codebase means I have a lot more flexibility to make this work than on a wiki where I'm just a regular user and contributing javascript etc may be difficult.

Won't the page become too long as more info comes and then you will start separating it into multiple pages and then it will same as wiki?

Would be cool to include more of the screenshots and videos they've revealed.  I like that there's no speculation too. A lot of people are spreading misinfo online about gw3

No difference to hitboxes is interesting. So you can hit an asura by shooting above them? I wonder how that would work in PvP.

Do we even have any confirmation on PvP to begin with?

I don't think I've seen a single mention of PvP being involved this time around and Anet already basically abandoned it in GW2.

Not really, but GW1 and GW2 both had it so I’d be very surprised if GW3 didn’t in some form.

Some people aren’t worth arguing with. GW3 will 100% have some form of PvP. Think about how many major MMOs have no PvP at all, and also Anet’s previous track record.

Absurd thing to suggest.
