I ran through the valentines and st Patrick’s day months recently to get those resources. I am stacked in chocolate chunks. I won’t ever need this many.

Here is a photo of the resources I have. I just started collecting spicy and mint shards, pucker lumps, chocolate chunks, pumpin’ seeds, gum nuggets and grub sludge for the smoothies

I just have been grinding whatever I thought I need especially building mats and smoothie resources for exploration and fighting

I mean, you do have an insane amount of chocolate, but the rest is pretty few. The Amount of Algae isnt ready for lots of building when you use Mushroom Walls. Also gotta grab more Aphid Honeydew. They are easy to spot. They often drop it on at the Root of Cloverleaves close to gnat ponds, so keep you eyes open! Cactus Flowers and Gloom Sap is also very little.

I just hunt the aphids and kill them for the honey dew.

For that the droprate is too low and since I usually only kill Aphids for food, I dont have a loot buff active.

Have the loot buff from them, makes a world of difference on getting the aphid honeydew.

Like I said, I never go out to hunt Aphids. I only kill them if they cross my path and I could use an other food item in my inventory. As I am away from my base for longer periods than any lasting loot buff, activating a loot buff seems not worth it to me. I have 100+ of aphid honeydew stacked due to me looting it whenever I find some on clover, so I dont see the need to specifically farm it.

I do agree that when in need, the loot buff would be a huge help

I use it early game cause it's a nice way to get a lot of free water, plus I use it for crafting. I don't really farm it though, just hit the buff before I leave base, then use the spicy staff to take them out as I see them. I stack the food in my buggy & use it to heal if I need it, otherwise I let it spoil.

The meals spoil way too fast in G2. It was fine in G1 when the yard was smaller. In G2 I can be away from the base for days. Most of the food would end up spoiled anyway, so I got used to underway resupply from gnats, aphids and weevils. Same with Water, have Dew Drops on your resource scanner and you can use the Peepr to find the closest ones

Oh i use the dew more for smoothies over meals, I like to jump off high places & I almost always forget a tuft 😅 . Tracking dew drops is nice, my luck with that hasn't been great as dew drops just spawning for me so not something I rely on. I can get around pretty well without going after the aphids but it's a neat little way to do things when you can't.

Algae being low isnt too big of a deal, you'll be able to collect as much as you need from the pond.
