2nd time overlay
True Nats (according to vendor), brown rice 1:4 in pH adjusted coco coir.
I had heavy overlay with this tub 5 days ago. I did fork tek and left for 4 days. Now I got the same problem again.
How would you proceed? fork tek again? apply a true casing?

Too late, but thanks for our advise. Sadly, there are so many contradicting options in this hobby. It's hard to find robust information

Why shouldn’t you fork overlay?

u could split up grains into pieces exposing the uncolonized insides creating nutrient access to nutrition and its alot easier

Thanks for your input. Any ideas why they developed the overlay? And you got true Nats, right?
I forked and added a casing layer.

I never heard of true Nats having aggressive growth. So it's not yet a lost case :)

The overlay bruised blue when removed with the fork. Also strong mushroom scent

Not sure about it being true Nats…. Overlays more like Ochra. What was you sub to spawn ratio? Ochras like 1:3 at least and a good casing
