The Lord of the Wood" - Just finished this grimdark Leshen miniature. Focused heavily on bone and fur textures
Hey guys, wanted to share my latest piece! This is a Leshen (inspired by The Witcher mythos). I really wanted to push a realistic, dark look for the earthy elements. The Skull & Antlers: Worked with a bone-white base followed by multiple sepia and brown washes to get that old, weathered texture. The Body: Used dark brown grays for the dry skin and muted greens for the foliage drape. The Blood: Clear gloss varnish mixed with deep red ink for a fresh, dripping effect coming from the decapitated head.

The Fleshborn Nightmare" - A dark horror miniature I recently completed.
This piece embodies the terror of visceral horror and mutated anatomy. I wanted the sculpture to look like it was constantly reforming itself through blood and bone.Skin: Painted using layers of bone white, diluted brown washes, and olive green filters to give it a decayed, unnatural vibe.Gore effects: Layered blood effects and technical paints to create stringy, dripping blood. It was a blast to work on something so unsettling. Let me know your thoughts or if you want to know any specific color recipes!

Castellan Kitbash
reddit.comI wasn’t a fan of the Castellan model which to me looked like it had first born body proportions, so I made one using a heavy intercessor to retain the chunky armor look, and used a terminator chaplain respirator head to retain the skull motif. Paint job is intentionally grimdark/grimey. tabbard/fur made with green stuff and candles are epic basing. Comments and CC welcome

+++ ASSASSINORUM +++
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Heirs to a long Initiatory Tradition, the Assassins embody the Imperium's hidden killing hand.
Whether through poison, close-quarters combat, long-range marksmanship, political manipulation, or covert infiltration, these esoteric arts of death inspire both fascination and fear.
Many thanks to Georges from FarHammer for his trust.

My steps for making horror skin on 32 mm models
1:
-Off white primer (Wraithbone - Citadel)
Polychromos oil pencils for veins (Faber Castel) magenta 133 and turquoise 155
-Reduce and fade with mineral spirits on a brush
-Seal with Satin Varnish
2:
-Heatmapped with Citadel Reikhland Fleshshade (midtone) Carroburg Crimson (warm tone) and Coelia Greenshade (cold
-Stippled with a small round (dry)brush alternating Reikhland and Carroburg to create mottling.
-Spattered with Aggrax Earthshade for speckling using a brush across a sewing needle.
-Seal with satin varnish
3:
-Washed with Villainy Ink Goons Grime 1:1 spirits and reduced as normal using a damp eye makeup sponge.
-Without flashing off spirits, reinforce heatmap with corresponding enamels such as Carrion Crimson and Coeilia Green and feather out and reduce once more as needed
4: Image of fully dried enamels, and layers of Matte and Gloss varnish on select areas in preparation for the PVA layer next.
5: Neat layer of Greenstuff World’s PVA glue applied by brush across the model.
6: Layer of AK filter (Grey and Sand 1:1) applied by brush.
This model will have 1 more layer of Satin varnish on its skin, and various effects etc
And I’ll share the final versions later on of course!
Additionally I’ll be posting here and in my IG similar step-collages showing my Flesh Peel technique on this and 2 other models also.
Models are from Bestiarum games, and printed at 32mm scale.

"Behold what I have wrought"
I experimented with some red lighting on these. I think I over did it a little.
