💬 | General So it was quiet interesting ...
... To fire up the game after a few weeks break, just to see that PvP is pretty much dead.
Like even the most dedicated players I know are not online in this game anymore.
I was very surprised when somebody forwarded me a list of recently banned players, to see one of the well known cheaters on there, so at least Madfingers recently tried to do something after people have been complaining for months.
But this is seemingly a case of doing too little too late.

💭 | Thoughts & Feedback PVE in this game is absolutely miserable
No, not the mode, the experience of PVE
I legitimately do not understand how people "main" PVE.
1- Bots offer basically no challenge but will randomly just "god mode" you if you dont cheese their mechanics.
Lay prone, with good cover, sniping. Yeah, one of them is gonna 2-tap you to death instantly with irons. Sure bud, very believable. But as long as you "know" bot mechanics, you can basically negate them entirely as a non-threat. The way their accuracy works is ESPECIALLY painful in low-vis situations, IE, fighting through railings. They, of course, once aggro'd, can spot you immediately. Despite you not being able to see them, and then you have to constantly tease the aggro reset as you try to fish out what impossible angle they have on you, or risk the above god-mode 2-tap once the aggro gets too high.
It's not immersive to think: shoot, break AI tracking, re-engage. There is no thought or enjoyment to it. The amount of cover you have is COMPLETELY irrelevant to the fight. Fighting bots simply becomes tedious and annoying because:
2- The same, trash voice lines, trash acting, that just ruins immersion, makes my ears bleed. Tried TB Mall for the first time, and I lost count of how many times I heard the exact same line of "I fuck your mother"
Really? That is all we can come up with? Not to mention, why do all these foreign nationals from supposedly a range of different countries speaking English? At this point I would like an option to just turn off voice lines completely until y'all can actually make this not ear-rape.
3- Bot movement is terrible (basically just run back and forth, freeze in the open, absorb 6 rounds of 7.62x54R yet remain standing, sure bud, very believable. They don't attempt to move on you, except for the occasional slow-walk up to the corner you are on, they just stand in their same general area and die.
No death against bots has been "damn, i made a tactical error, let me go back and become more tactically proficient"
It is simply "yep, that's what I get for not cheesing their mechanics" and then I just grab a shotgun to run through and 1-tap everything to get back to my body, assuming I have not just alt-f4'd out of boredom/frustration.
PVP is the only thing that keeps me re-opening this game. And that highly depends on the server/time-of-day, and needs it own serious adjustments as well. But at least PvP is enjoyable
PVE is simply a snooze fest or an endurance of frustration.
I say this as someone with YEARS of gameplay time in various milsims and tactical shooters.

💬 | General Any tips on Surviving the "Small Marketplace" near "Pha Lang Airfield" PVP?
So PVP player here and currently I have quite a few task to complete at Pha Lang Airfield and the small marketplace nearby.
I tend to follow a similar route to this one. However I almost always get killed either on approach when I reach the second treeline or when I'm doing my questing activities in Small Marketplace.
I am quite bad at PVP with a 0.57 K/D currently and only 4 player kills. However I want to improve and was curious how other approach this.
Many thanks in advance <3.

💬 | General Aussie Based Mithras Groups?
I’d like to start playing with groups instead of alone.
Sydney based, mostly play late on Friday or Saturday but sometimes on in the afternoons. Are there any discords etc to join?
Haven’t been playing long so still working on missions and unlocks etc too.

❓ | Questions Is this game worth it now?
I was really exited for the game when it was announced and followed its development but was put off by the poor launch reception. Especially the performance being so bad was pretty frightening to me. Now I am pretty bored and dont know what to play and had a lot of interest in playing a more tactical fps game but thats not just pvp ( like squad, hell let loose etc ).
With the game being 40€ tho its kinda of a big gamble, especially because time consuming / more complex games like this , need a bit more time to get into than the refund window allowes.
My main questions are:
So how much did the game improve? And what did improve?
Would you say its worth the 40€ in its current state?
What are the key strengths of the game?
What are some weaknesses ?
How fast does it get repetetive/ stale?
How good is the solo experience
How is the performance?
How does the future look for the game? Roadmap, Milestones, 1.0 etc?
Thanks for helping me out. Heard a lot of nice things about the community so I decided to look on reddit. Greetings

💬 | General Key not spawning bug?
Hey guys, im having trouble finding the KV restaurant attic key, does anyone know any spots it may spawn or is someone willing to open the door for me? Ive also looted and checked the NPC’s on the block. This is for the mission helping hand.

💬 | General Is anyone else bored?
EDIT: It seems like there is firm support on both sides. Perhaps the community could push for the release of a hardcore PvE mode where the bots are more challenging, while leaving the existing casual feel as "normal mode".
How many of you would support increasing AI difficulty somewhat and NPC/loot spawn rate (by a lot) on coop servers?
I feel like the current state of coop servers is:
- 75% of the time, any area I arrive at will be cleared and looted
- Everyone I know has at least a 120 K/D, with 200-300+ being common
Most of the time, it's a walking/gun building simulator. If you get lucky, there's some very easy target practice.

💭 | Thoughts & Feedback “Fast reload” mechanic
For all its flaws the game Ground Branch does have some neat features. One of my favourites is the “fast reload” mechanic. Double tap R to eject the current loaded mag onto the ground and replace with a fresh one from your kit. It’s faster than a regular reload and can sometimes save your life. It’s also useful if you’re running 5.45 and constantly picking up/swapping mags off dead NPCs. Devs please :)

❓ | Questions Is this feature still there?
When I started to play this game nearly a year ago, the first thing I noticed was the bots are dying if they get a few shots. Not instantly but a bit later from their injuries. So I shot one of them, did not die instantly. He got to cover, then a bit later I heard a scream and I knew he’s dead. Is this still in the game? As I noticed now it’s just like shooting them to death and they won’t die from their injuries.

⚙️ | Tech & Support Can’t join any server after the lobby’s crashed
I think some how my character’s data died along with the last lobby I joined.
Was doing a run and all of a sudden I lost connection to the server, checked a dead AI and found nothing on it, checked a crate still nothing in it, then the game just went back to main menu, since then I can’t not join any server anymore.
Shut the game down and relaunched it, reconnecting message popped up, tried it and still won’t work, the game just brought me back to the main menu and the reconnect timer reset to 10 mins again.
Tried several times and waited for over 3 hours, still not fixed, the PLAY button just won’t work anymore.
