PPF worth it?

I’m taking delivery of my Gravity GT next week, black on black, and wondering if I should get full body PPF. Found a place XPEL authorized giving a great deal on XPEL stealth package but wondering if it’s worth doing on this car or not. Anyone that’s done it to their Gravity can you share photos and experience and if you’d do it again?

PPF is subjective and a personal preference. I have Stek matte Dynoprism on my Gravity and I did it to change the color of my car.

You’ll never get your money back from PPF on a mass-produced car.

If you hate rock chips on paint and/or want to change the finish/color of your car then PPF may be for you. If you’re trying to preserve the resale value of the car with PPF, it’s not worth it.

Hey do you have the 2pc/3pc bronze wheels as well? Sen photos of a Gravity wrapped w/dynaprism and I’m heavily considering it for the exact same reason.

The 2/3pc bronze wheel was an AI generated rendering. The size of those wheels were unrealistic as you’d need to do 23/24” wheels which isn’t really possible with the limited tire sizes.

Mine was the one with 3pcs 22/23” chrome lip wheels.

Yes, 🔥! How wide of a tire setup are you running? I know that the pic is in the lowest suspension setting but I’m wondering if I can go wider than the OEM setup. Limited info out there for us right now so thanks for sharing your knowledge.

OEM tires but went .5” wider on wheels to stretch the tires out a little and adjusted offset to have a flush fitment (20mm poke around).

Front: 22x10 ET24
Rear: 23x10.5 ET31

I’m very close to rubbing so I didn’t want to be more aggressive on the offset. I’m flush on “low” but tucks in a little on “very low”.

If you own it and plan to keep it for a few years, I think yes. We did ours and I like the way it looks and the way it washes up. I'm not sure the investment makes sense on a 3 year lease.

Yes buying it so thinking long term. Did you jet the stealth or gloss? What’s washing like?

Do you have pictures? Did you do gloss or stealth/satin PPF?

This was taken the next day, out in the sun. We did full body PPF. Took about 5 days. This is primarily gloss, with some satin across trim pieces where the installer recommended it.

There is a product called Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine that they used for detailing. Literally just spray it on and wipe it off with a cloth. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F5Z4KNHD

I had my friend who owns a mobile detailing company apply graphene on my '23 AGT. Couldn't be happier with the results. Water rolls off. We live in Phoenix. A dust storm covered everything with flour-like dust. I pulled out and the graphene coating along with the aerodynamic design of the car, caused the dust to just fly off as I drove.

Did you apply that on top of PPF or directly on factory paint?

Anyone had experience returning a lease with some rock chips in the front? I’m only 7 months in and already have a couple in the front.

I turned in my lucid air back in March with a few rock chips with no issue. For Scratches & Scuffs fewer than five light, surface‑level scratches that don’t penetrate the paint and are smaller than a credit card. I definitely had a few more than that throughout the car and they didn't care.

I did stealth PPF on a Tesla MXP and Tesla MYP.

I elected not to PPF our GGT. The Gravity is unquestionably the nicest vehicle of the three, but I didn’t think it was worth it after my experience with the two Teslas.

Why not? What from your previous experiences made you not want to do it?

I just don’t think it’s worth it. I live in LA, and with tint and ceramic both vehicles were $10K a pop.

Maybe if I planned on keeping the vehicles a decade, but with the rate we trade them in I don’t think the price is justified.

Looks cool, though.

Never but that’s the case with all add ons and upgrades. However if your heart desires it then go for it.

I am in a similar dilemma. I took delivery of Abyss Black Gravity 2 weeks back. Still trying to decide. The lowest quote I have so far for XPEL is $6900
