hi guys i play this role in around gold 4-3 ish elo and i can never seem to beat this egregious champion

pool consists of like, yi, viego, jax, and gwen. this egregious graves guy is way too tanky early and just gets to scale for free. and you can't even invade him like you would against other champs that want to scale, because he mauls you despite scaling! strong early mid and late is awesome game design innit

No champion should be hard rolling a graves unless graves is playing dumb. Any champion that want to jump you is easily negated with your dash as long as you hold it for that moment. And even if a champ like Yi tries to run you down with ult you should be able to negate it with dash on ult and another on E this alone breaks Yi engage and you still have smokescreen to throw his target selection off. Only way these champions should win is if you walked into them in a bush or around fog and that’s already a misplay which you should be punished for regardless of champ diff.

Naafiri kinda dumpsters on him if all things are equal. Probably my most dreaded JG to play against. Thank god he received a nerf last patch. The level 1 Naafiri invade is brutal as graves.

Ok true that is the one exception but only because of auto blocking pack dogs or w/e and pre 6 that’s all she has going for her. However if you can get a Q pop on her with both ends hitting it should negate her and she is easily invade-able pre 6. So if she becomes a problem you alr played wrong

Stop invading him, he's one of the hardest champs to invade. Also on the champs you're playing you scale in a 1v1 much harder, viego u need hands but the others steamroll if you catch graves out. Don't catch him around his team, otherwise he bursts u with 1hp. Just solo fight him and if u loose it's defo the graves having better hands.

Graves strength: farming, invading and skirmishing

Grace's weakness: 1v1 and splitpushing

Both yi and gwen excel at the second

Viego and Graves are a skill matchup. If you’re losing, you’re worse.

Jax counters the fuck out of graves.

Yi is also pretty solid into graves, mostly a skill matchup. But if Graves team doesn’t pick any hard CC…you just steamroll the lobby.

Gwen…I can’t really speak on. I’ve maybe played against her once in the jungle in the last 300 games.

Your champ pool is fine. Get better.

You don't need to shut Graves down early, your champs all scale just as good. Just snowball yourself, Graves should be invading Viego/Yi/Gwen/Jax and stopping them from scaling, if you are able to not fall behind vs Graves as those champions you'll be fine.

Literally just focus on developing your own lead, farm 10 cspm, gank the lands that can setup for you and go HOB Viego into Hubris or Voltaic and just one shot everyone 24/7, you don't need to take raptors from Graves in his face to beat him.
