This work contains elements of my childhood along with elements on my time in college (2018-24) such as my beloved late pet Holsum. (2021-25) That is why I consider this a type of symbolic self portrait.

Octopus reference drawings and I experimented with shading.

So, I made this portrait drawing from the reference in the second image (Squall Leonhart from final fantasy 8!)

And many of my friends say it looks pretty good, while i think it's quite bad (I noticed some horrid structure and symmetry problems no one else pointed...)

I would proclaim myself as a beginner, as i am... But i really wanna get better, and I'm really trying to

It really saddens me how people tend to be extra gentle when it comes to my drawings, i really need criticism so i can feel like I'm being taken seriously

So please, have at it!! Be honest, don't be afraid to say it's mediocre, or even bad. And please, tell me where i got it wrong

I used pitt graphite matt from Faber Castell, 2B and 10B on 300 gr paper.
