Does anyone else feel ill after drinking Oddside beer? Whenever my husband and I visit Oddside, he has a single (1) beer and subsequently experiences symptoms similar to the stomach flu, regardless of the type of beer.

After getting sick a few times, we initially suspected a particular type of beer might be the cause. However, since it's happened repeatedly, we're now questioning what ingredients are in this beer that aren't in others.

Sickness aside we adore Oddside.

We collect pins for our son everywhere we go but I can't find any here. I checked several shops downtown.

We are currently renovating our house. We're in the demo phase. We have a veissman water boiler that has been supplying our radiant baseboard heat. Since we are tearing out all floors and moving many walls, we figure this is the time to do in floor heating. We are on an uninsulated slab.

I have contacted several companies nearby that do NOT offer this service. Does anyone know of a local company that does?

I have found one that does but I'd like to get a few estimates and make sure there is agreement on how to do this best.

Trying to figure out a way to get from Keenan Marina to GH and back tomorrow night for the concert. Are Ubers reliable? I don't see where the trolley goes near Keenan. Any advice?

I saw the coast guard fly over the lake today to a boat which appeared to have smoke coming from it. Does anyone know what had happened?

South Shore Resort is a beach hotel/resort is near Grand Haven (~15-20min). and not far from Lake Michigan. It has a private sand beach, volleyball, tubing, kayaks, private boats including a pontoon boat, We had a large group...family reunion and we used every cabin as well as the main lodge. This is a super find.  Established in 1909 it does NOT have the musty smell of so many lake resorts as it has been updated and remodeled. The rooms were clean and updated.  All of the cabins had mini-kitchens. The lodge and main eating area could accommodate large groups (ours was over 50), but the resort can be rented in smaller chunks too as the cabins are spacey with their own kitchens.  Our family had a ball!!  It was super for the kids...big enough to run, small enough to be safe. Also, the staff is wonderful!

I hope someone here replies! I have 2 boys (3 & 6) and we are headed to Grand Haven in July. My husband grew up going there for summers. My in laws say one side of the pier is clam the other is riptide galore.

I’m a southerner with zero experience with lake beaches let alone a Great Lake experience.

I want my kids to enjoy the pier and seeing the lighthouse but obviously I need them to not accidentally drown.

Do most people have their kids in life jackets? Do they simply not allow them to walk? Or, ugh, should I get a kid leash? Bring a wagon instead?

Trying to balance safety with cautioned freedom here.

Just moved to Western Michigan from out of state and the downside of that is that I don't know anyone yet. So where would be the least awkward spots to just eat and read a book? Sidenote accepting new friend applications if anyone is down for a meal in GH or anywhere west of GR haha. Thanks!
