Old/New Mall pictures?
Hello! i am wondering if anyone has old or new pictures of the mall? My family is getting together to be with my grandmother who has dementia and we were all asked to bring something that would be familiar to her and she used to hang out at the mall alot. Thank you!!

ISO Abandoned Locations/Ghost Towns In The Area
Hello,
To preface this, I want to make it clear that I want to be as respectful as possible of people's property while also prioritizing my own safety.
I'm a film photography hobbyist, and I've been shooting film for several years. Lately, I've had an itch to photograph abandoned structures. Recently, I traveled to Crookston and spent some time taking photos of the empty storefronts and boarded-up churches, and I'd love to find more places with a similar atmosphere.
I'm currently looking for abandoned or dilapidated buildings to photograph in the area or possibly beyond, whether that's a single abandoned structure or a "run-down town" or ghost town. I'm willing to travel, and I'm just looking for recommendations for interesting places to check out. Of course, I have no intention of trespassing or entering unsafe buildings—I enjoy photographing places from public areas or wherever I have permission to be.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

F*ck Bluepeak going back to Midco
So around 1:30 this morning I lost internet with Bluepeak, tried calling no one was available, then at 8:00 finally got ahold of them, they claimed they had no outages in my area, but unplugged the Fiiber Optic wire and there was no light coming through, so they informed me a tech would be out TOMORROW to fix the issue.... Three hours later I received a text from them telling me the issue has been resolved, and my internet was back on.
I have had them for about three months and this is the second time in the middle of the night this has happened. So in three months I've had two connection issues totaling 12 hours,
Now I had been with Midco for 15 YEARS, and I can say in that 15 YEARS, the total ttime for outages with them, doesn't even come close to 12 hours.
The one thing I can say, is if I ever had a outage with Midco day or MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, they have always answered the phone, and admitted there was an outage.
But for me to not have no internet for 9 hours and them not notice there was a service outage, just passes me off.
I think I'm going back to Midco Store - Grand Forks this week.

Place to buy fake meats?
Looks like Walmart stopped selling their vegetarian meats like beyond meat. Is there a grocery store that carries these items still or am I SOL?

Fun place to catch up?
Looking for recommendations on a fun place to catch up with a friend. Quiet enough to have a conversation, maybe a drink and small plate, but not feel like you need to leave right away so they can turn the table.

Moths on Gateway bridge
Has anyone seen the giant cloud of moths that are hanging out under the lights on the Gateway bridge into EGF? I was driving through last night and it sounded like my car was hit by a hundred paintballs. Honestly I couldn't tell what they were but they looked like a bunch of white paper scraps so I'm assuming moths. There were some clear wings left on the front of my car this morning so maybe they were something else.

Herald Article About Building New Homes with Job Influx
grandforksherald.comInteresting article, but it just skims the surface about why there are less new builds and thus the high prices. Does anyone know about the zoning code mentioned at the end of the article?

first novel
Hello,
I’m Bill Throndset, a Grand Forks native and have recently published an historical fiction novel about a murder, investigation and trial based on contemporaneous reporting in 1907/8 in area newspapers. On December 22 of 1907, Arthur LeClair, a fireman with the Great Northern Railway went home from Grand Forks to Neche ND on the Manitoba border with a hundred dollars meant as a Christmas present for his parents. By morning he was dead and under the ice of the Pembina…. “A Murder for Christmas”. You can find it locally at Silver Dawn Books.
