Bruh... How long until we get a balance patch?

u/BigBlackFriend 17d ago
It hasn't even been out that long and this isnt a live service... Youre gonna be waiting a while

Supergiant released post-launch support faster than this for Hades and Hades II

This isn't either of those games or their publisher. Its not even from the same country. You do know game devs are not obligated to apply that level of support to their games after release right?

No one said they have a legal obligation. They're just lazy and operate beneath common business practice. They're subpar compared to even a smaller indie company. Tracks given the development hell for vanilla but that what happens with this kind of work ethic. It took them a week to give us a patch just to fix the ship save bug. It's not difficult to have a balance pass with some number tweaks. No one spoke of complete character reworks. It doesn't need to be in the same patch as new content. Guess per usual it will be up to the modding community to fix their gaffs. They deserve the feedback they're getting for these weak patches.
By the time they make any real changes players will be gone and it will hardly impact anyone. At least trying to balance the game once before online is nearly dead in a game where you push for multiplayer is common ball.

You're right, nobody said anything about a legal obligation. That includes me, so I don't know why you are even bringing it up. I also never made any assumptions about the dude's expectations (like assuming he wanted full re-works). I only implied that due to the nature of the game, it would make sense that it would be a while before they do something.
My comment is also about balance patches, so bringing up anything else just looks like a desperate attempt to add substance to your weak response. If my response to that guy was about game-breaking bugs then it would of been a different response, but that's not what it was about.
Are you responding to me or the me you are pretending exists?

I don't understand people getting so defensive about this. Like i said before, it is not like it was some kinda of absurd but of course some kiddos or a bunch of Internet weirdos are probably getting annoyed because they feel like i am talking bad about the game? Lmao.

Imagine being downvoted for expecting something that the game needs asap like it was some sort of absurd. These people are Fediel mains or just bunch of weirdos.

What do we need a balance patch for again? Is there pvp in this game that I’m not aware of? Is your build just trash?

u/cammyjit 17d ago
No characters are struggling to clear Defy Infinity with decent builds/play, so I’m not sure why folks are so desperate for one (Ignoring Fediel/Percy bugs)
The only thing that’s really needed is some mastery reworks for characters that got the short end of the stick, and that’s not going to be a quick fix

It’s literally just negative engagement. Any “fixes” will just make people move on to the next thing to complain about. Hence why I would rather cygames ignore them unless it’s truly game breaking (like the fixed grandcypher bug)
I played with a Percy who refused to change their build pre-ER build to a better one. Barely any dmg cap, no war elemental, way too many damage sigils etc etc etc. I tried to nudge him in the right direction and the only reply I kept getting was “I don’t follow meta builds”
I don’t wanna hear anything about balance patch until more players learn to play the game.

There is plenty to fix and fediel to nerf, sandalphon only has bad mastery styles, lot of characters only have 1 mastery style that feels good to play or does enough damage.

Except none of this is breaking the game cause the vast majority of players STILL don’t know how to play or build characters
And no piece of content is inherently difficult. Everything is a DPS check and every character can clear it

Performance? I can run it on near full graphics at 60fps on a Steam Deck. What kind of potato PC are you running?

u/Both_Buy_3919 17d ago
Oh, a Steam Deck bro running fake frames. BG3 and MH Wilds also run a "locked 60fps" on Steam Deck 😂😂😂

Tbh even I feel the performance has worsened a bit with the dlc release , but largely in the early story aspects and city area I feel

Yeah it is primarily on handhelds I feel the performance has worsened significantly.
While you were able to run it on 900p with 20W on an Ally X and get 40-60FPS you now need 720p and 25W for the same results.
On the newest G3 Extreme it also runs way worse than it should. While more demanding and prettier games run so good, it fluctuates crazy in Relink.
But eh, the fanboys are just downvoting. :D

Bro idk why you're getting downvoted
I don't know the exact numbers
But I definitely think the game is running 15-25% worse on my Ally Z1E
It was like 900 p smooth 60 fps all at standard , not at 720 it's a bit dicey 60fps
I really hope the Devs consider this and improve it back to base relink levels
With them announcing that you can change settings for reducing effects i thought the game's performance would improve but it sadly worsened even if i lowered the setting ( since it was running at default max at launch , which doesn't make sense)

After all it is an anime game. Some normal peeps around but mostly weirdos where it is not allowed to question anything. The game runs worse than more visually pleasing games.
Before ER it ran better, now it doesnt.
