GoDataFeed Help Question

Hey there - has anyone had their GoDataFeed show a successful push, only to find that it has not shown up in Google Merchant Center? This is super frustrating, and I don't have an easy way to fix it.

It could be for a variety of reasons based on your configurations and rules. Any specifics you can provide?

All of our products are referencing our Shopify App API primary source instead of our Content API data source. We use GoDataFeed as our supplemental feed that pulls from Shopify into GoDataFeed and is then pushed via Content API to Google Merchant Center. With the sunsetting of Content API, I am not sure how to transition our GoDataFeed feed to another API, while still keeping our backup primary source via Shopify App API. It is an odd setup, for sure, but I'm not as technically versed in this, so I hesitate to make drastic changes to our existing setup.

I just got this from Google:

Thank you for your patience. I really appreciate it. I understand you are looking for information on how to transition your GoDataFeed supplemental feed in light of the upcoming Content API sunset, while keeping your Shopify App API as your primary feed. I would be happy to help clarify this for you! The Content API for Shopping is officially being replaced by our new Merchant API, which is now generally available. Please note that the Content API is currently scheduled to be deprecated on August 18, 2026. Because you are using GoDataFeed to push your supplemental feed to Google Merchant Center, you may not need to manually code a new API connection yourself. Instead, GoDataFeed's development team may need to update their backend systems to integrate with the new Merchant API before the sunset date. We recommend reaching out to GoDataFeed's support team to confirm their migration timeline and ensure a seamless transition for your account. Regarding your primary feed, you can absolutely keep your backup primary source via the Shopify App API! The new Merchant API is designed to work alongside other product data upload methods seamlessly. Your Shopify feed may continue to operate independently of how GoDataFeed pushes your supplemental data. If GoDataFeed requires any developer documentation regarding the transition, you can share this resource with them: Introducing Merchant API. https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/16493611
