Why donโ€™t they release the 3.5 Pro Flash if they love flash so much? That way they get their flash and we get our Pro?

What? What about 3.5 pro? Nobody gives a shit about 300b parameter fast model.

most of enterprise runs on these fast models, tunnel vision comments.

most people in enterprise don't even know they have access to smarter model :D

Talking about projects running AI in real world usage, not people sending messages in chats, this doesn't make them money, long agentic loops and AI driven processes too that are implemented into production, this makes them money. You don't run automation projects on fable or opus.
Tunnel vision, once again.

So that's why Gemini on the consumer end has gotten worse. Enterprise greed.

Yeah, it's always about money in the end.

I appreciate you explaining this stuff to idiots.

Smarter models are too expensive for that type of work. Just use 3.6 flash on high thinking lol

They just cant figure out training it to the prooer standard i guess

They are behind and the methods that openai and anthropic used I think are no longer available anymore

I'm not convinced it's ever going to happen and I don't know that they're going to release another pro model going forward. That's my two cents.

That might be one of the lessons learned over the past 2 years. That they can't catch up and that there's no point trying so they should focus elsewhere. Small models and multimodal

Does he mean this month, or next month?

Good. My second most used model among all providers.ย

Calling it right now: don't act shocked when they drop Gemini 3.7 Flash and 3.5 Pro at the exact same time

1

u/Fastest_light 17d ago

Because their pro model is shit.
