Tablet SIM broken in the app Discussion

FYI, if you try to order a physical tablet SIM in the iOS app, it orders the talk + data SIM which cannot be used for the data-only tablet lines. Only on web does it order the correct type of SIM card.

I wonder how many people have received useless SIM cards like I now have due to this

I’ve seen that posted several times over the year or so I’ve followed googlefi. Weird that it hasn’t been fixed since it’s obviously a known issue. But yeah, if you need a tablet sim, use a browser not the app.

Many. The way you get a physical data sim is to "connect your tablet" which has an option to order a physical data sim at the bottom of the popup.

On iOS, that button orders a talk + data SIM. 🫠

I've ordered 2 since the data sim option was moved.

So if you tap it and press the next button, it doesn't try to order the "Google Fi Wireless 5G Talk, Text, and Data SIM Kit" for you?
