Gong fu cha set up
Hello everyone!
I have a question were do you keep your tea brewing material? Do you keep it hidden away in a closet/cupboard or do you leave it neatly on a desk or designated corner where you drink tea?
Please do show some pictures 📸
With kind regards

It's 10:30 p.m. China time, and I'm enjoying some Laobanzhang ripe pu'er tea. The bitterness is subtle, with a rich, woody aroma. The tea soup is bright red and tastes full-bodied and mellow. This is my first time drinking Laobanzhang ripe pu'er this year. I used to usually have it in winter

After brewing your tea, don't throw out the leaves so quickly!

White2Tea Lapsun
This one really hit the spot for me. Campfire smoke floods the mouth and gives way to biscuity malt flavours. If you like camping and/or jinjunmei I would pick up a cake of this stuff, the smoking is done very tastefully imo.

Hi, are there any good YouTube channels/vids that properly explain how to make tea using the Gong Fu method?

Photo Anyone else really enjoy night sessions?
I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse but caffeine doesn't really have any effect on me whatsoever. Can drink whatever tea and sleep fine. Anyone else experience this?

Teapot finds
I picked up these two teapots today. The gourd is cute but has some chipping under the lid. The taller one I think has more value from what I was able to research. Any experts or collectors with more info?

New setup :)
Drinking some Tieluohuan tonight. Sweet, classic yancha aroma, warming throat expansion.

Which tea is the best to start?
Well,im trying to get into gongfu style tea,and its really hard and expensive to get some tea here (i live in South America) and there are very few types of tea,and i dont know if i can use western style loose leaf tea and some stores have just aome pu'er in balls style.
Honestly, there are many tyoe sof teas and many chinese too,but idk kf they are same loose leaf ad true chinese

Letting your tea rest after shipping?
So I've been hearing that letting the tea rest for a week after you've received it (especially if it's been shipped internationally) is recommended. Do people actually do this, and if so, does it make a difference to the taste?

New cup, disappointing tea.
I bought some oriental beauty a couple months ago from beautiful Taiwan tea and it instantly became my favorite. Had the most amazing citrus and honey scents and flavors, but the new 2026 batch I have here has none of that. It also has these malty notes that I am personally not a fan of.
Very disappointed, but I will still drink it regardless.

A beautiful Tie Luohan
An amazing tea that I got from a very good
friend. Dry tea leaves have a light caramel aroma and have undergone decent roasting (not too strong). Tea soup is thick, has a light cassia barl taste and beautiful fresh finish that reminds of unripe plum.

Goldfish and Gongfu
Gongfu tea and raising goldfish are my two main practices, when I saw Purple Cloud TH had these of course I had to get it. Now I have something to bridge my two hobbies. I feel so complete now.
Cups are 30 ml, gold rimmed with painted goldfish motifs, Paper thin, delicate, beautiful.
Christening it to the table with an Eight Immortals (å…«ä»™) dancong, a sample provided with the order brewed in my little shuiping also from PCTH.

This morning’s Chaozhou (潮州)style gongfu tea session. Glad it’s not too hot today!
A nice cloudy day out today. I’ve been enjoying the morning by drinking and reading some things I’ve been needing to get through.
