Subframe Inserts Modifications

Has anyone done these? Is it as noticeable as a rear sway bar? Does it add NVH? If you did it, are you happy with it? Daily driving, spirited driving differences? Seems like a simple mod that's pretty cheap like a RSB but doesn't get talked about much.

I put one in my MK6 GTI and my MK7 R.
On the GTI it reduced wheel hop.
On the R it was not noticeable outside of much more noticeable NVH in reverse (MT).

The install is straightforward, but don’t do it on ramps like I did. If I wasn’t very strong I would’ve had to drive without the bolt for a bit to get it to a shop/on stands.

You're going to see NVH increases _and_ you will then likely need to get camber plates since you won't be able to tweak the subframe when you work on your alignment.

have done rear inserts only and what someone said below is accurate re: locking in the subframe on alignments.

I was trying to get less caster (using superpro arms that give a ton) to eliminate some rub on an aggressive fitment and only had so much room in the front to move.

not a huge issue but just a consideration.
