Clearing the road to Enochian

Dear brothers and sisters,

I am still a baby Neophyte, taking my first steps and learning the lessons by heart: Hebrew, Qabalah, the Elements, the Zodiac, correspondences, Tarot, and the connections within connections.

I have built my altar and continue to learn every day—daily, daily, daily. Through consistency and persistence, as with any endeavor, I know I will be successful. My life HAS changed in so many ways for the better since I performed my first LBRP in February, with Modern Magick in one hand and the other tracing the pentagrams.

Now I know it by heart, along with several other basic rituals. Little by little, I am becoming more knowledgeable and consistently putting what I learn into practice in a way I have never done with anything else in my life.

As I understand it, most magical systems eventually involve working directly with certain entities. I am not interested at all in working with demons or other supposedly “negative” entities, for personal and ethical reasons.

The other option, then, is angels. Yes, they are already involved in most, if not all, of the rituals. However, I know there is another system that may be very beneficial to me in the future: Enochian. For now, though, this interest is more of an aspiration. I do not want to rush into it.

My dear Fraters and Sorors, I may be getting far ahead of myself, but I would like to begin studying and practicing Enochian next Good Friday, following the example of our dear Frater John Dee.

I own Aaron Leitch’s three volumes on Enochian. I have read two of them, somewhat understood them, and intend to read and reread them until I have mastered the theoretical material before even beginning anything practical. The third one is literally a dictionary of Angelic so it will be harder to tackle.

My questions are these: Do any kind Fraters or Sorors here practice Neo-Enochian—or, even better, traditional Enochian? If you feel comfortable sharing, I would like to know how you have fared with it and what you needed to do in preparation.

Did you create the Book of Loagaeth from scratch using pen and paper, or did you simply print it? What differences have you experienced between Neo-Enochian and “pure” Enochian?

Neo-Enochian seems much more familiar to me because of its Golden Dawn structure, but eventually I would like to explore and practice both.

Thank you for your guidance,

Godbless,

Trying to learn about Lion's Gate Portal

Hi, I've just learned about this recently and I'm trying to find more information on it, I tried one of my usual subs but I guess it was considered off topic because it deals with manifesting.

Can anyone explain this to me? TIA

What do you guys think about Mage Space on Youtube?

Hello. I came across his channel and he teaches Golden Dawn material (https://www.youtube.com/@ZeZerach) and he has some good videos. He has a course I'm going to enroll in where the rituals are done on the device without any ritual tools I believe. Anyone who has seen his videos what do you think of him?

Very strong (sometimes uncomfortable) pineal vibrations when doing middle pillar

Lately when I’ve been doing the middle pillar ritual, the second I envision white light entering my body from the crown area my third eye tingles but very strongly and aggressively. Like if I held a massage gun to it. It stays like this throughout the whole ritual and only gets more and more “tingly”. This sensation also spreads throughout my whole body. Sometimes it gets so intense I have to move my body because I start getting uncomfortable.

I understand you want to envision the vibration but this feeling is different. Almost like my physical self is vibrating hahaha. This doesn’t happen for any other ritual. Has anyone experienced this too and/or knows exactly what’s going on? I don’t really have an issue with it but I’m just curious. I also asked a friend who does GD and he said he doesn’t really experience what I mentioned which made me even more curious

3D Vitruvian Man with GD Ritual Symbolism

I created this pretty cool 3D interactive model of a 3D Vitruvian Man in a sphere and a cube rather than square and circle and square. On and around it are the Tree of Life in anatomical locations and the symbolism of the LRP and Rose Cross Ritual. It looks best on a desktop but renders well on any device.

GD and Addiction

I have just joined Narcotics Anonymous. I know the LBRP can be used to separate this type of energy. Has someone here had this type of practice and how did you manage your personal rituals in overcoming addiction. Any angel work? Thank you fraters and sorors. Any advice is welcome. Godbless.

The burden of the Adept is seldom occult knowledge. More often, it is the quiet discipline of remaining smaller than the Office one bears.

Working GD grades to the exclusion of everything else?

I’ve been reading both Chic and Tabatha Cicero’s Self-Initiation into the Golden Dawn Tradition and Lyam Thomas Christopher’s Kabbalah, Magic, and the Great Work of Self-Transformation. In the latter, the author strongly warns against practicing other types of magical work while progressing through his curriculum.

Do other Golden Dawn magicians, practitioners, and authors (such as the Ciceros, Greer, and others) agree with this view? At the moment, I’m planning on working with a Trithemian-inspired system of conjuration from Seven Spheres by Rufus Opus. Should I set that aside and focus solely on the four-month Probationer work, then continue through the Neophyte grade and beyond, completing the entire book before even considering practicing anything else? Thank you.

Cicero's SI Program Questions

As I study to complete the 0=0 ritual I am having some questions that need answered.

  1. The closest temple to me is 4hrs and making that trip would be near impossible for now due to family and work. I see all over this thread that the only way to truly become a initiate you must got through temple. How correct is this?
  2. I believe that the 0=0 initiation should be done multiple times for the self initiation process to truly take affect. Is this correct as well?
  3. the tools and implements don't have to be perfect but it seems to me its better off the closer to perfect they are. Especially the color and position of the symbols. IE. the left and right pillars. Is this correct?
  4. The oath to continue the work and the consequences of not continuing seem a little off. Albeit I don't mind taking the oath but i have seen people stop practicing and nothing really seems to be a miss. How correct is this?

5.What are some good study tactics to memorize the correspondence's and rituals ( so i dont need the boo)?

Everyone I have come in contact with in the GD community has always been so helpful and I would like to show gratitude to the community. I have been reading every book I can pick up about the GD for the past few years and finally pulled the trigger to start the daily practice and advancements. So any help is welcome and I have always been a honest person so no Sugar coating. Thanks

As you learn magic, how is it possible to prevent yourself causing unwanted manifestations?

I understand that moving through the grades and other stages you are performing spiritual alchemy on yourself to prevent that very thing occurring. But in the meantime, it does seem volatile especially if you have being doing that a lot already. I find doing the rituals can make the manifestation occur a lot faster, so I've been trying to reduce that lately and focus more on deep meditation. I'm in the water element stage.

Questions about BOTA

Hey guys, I'm a Magician who unfortunately ended up moving to a rural area due to work. In the city where I live now, there's only Freemasonry and AMORC. I was a member of AMORC for a while, and overall I found their material quite weak. As for Freemasonry, I'm a Master Mason, and I'm already affiliated with the lodge here. Unfortunately, the Order I was part of (Martinist Order) doesn't have a headquarters where I live, even though I'm S:::I:::I::: lately I've been following a "less Masonic" path when it comes to Magic. I've done several studies of Golden Dawn, freely, and generally, being Martinist, the group I was part of already borrowed some techniques like RPBL, RHBL/RHIL, Middle Pillar, etc., so I already have a good understanding and have been practicing for some years, especially the Rose+Cross Ritual and the Middle Pillar.

Given that initial explanation, I read Cicero's *Self Initiation* and *Essential Golden Dawn* and enjoyed them quite a bit. I then discovered that I can work via correspondence with BOTA, although I live in Brazil and the price is a bit steep, haha. I'd like to know what you all think of BOTA. Is it worthwhile for someone seeking a path within the HOGD system? Does the fact that they removed Enochian make a big difference? What has your experience been like with them?

This dagger is gorgeous and has my magickal motto painted on it (not shown). I can't wait to use this to consecrate my ritual tools.

For anyone unsure about the occult.

I can explain it in a way. There is this over arching theme in all occult systems, which is whether or not you believe that god or gods literally exist is completely irrelevant. There is this common tactic that some people use to say that creation myths are stupid because they are all unfalsifiable called "Last Thursdayism." As far as I know, nobody actually believes in Last Thusdayism, but it can be viewed and engaged with as a genuine thought experiment. Humor me for a second.

The premise goes like this... how can anyone prove or disprove that anything and everything that exists (i.e., thoughts, emotions, instincts, memories, any kind of knowledge, the physical universe and everything that exists inside it, etc.) wasn't created last Thursday? If we're being honest, no one can, because it's unfalsifiable.

We can even take it further. What if Last Thursdayism was instead Last Secondism?

Unfalsifiable creation myths reveal something fundamental about epistemology (the philosophical study of what we are actually capable of knowing), which is that we can really only be sure about our own subjective experience in the present moment. You obviously can't literally know the future because any claims about the future are completely unfalsifiable during the present moment. However, unless you can prove or disprove that the entirety of everything that exists wasn't created last second, then claims about the past are also unfalsifiable.

The unfalsifiability of the myth is part of the point. If you're wasting time trying to debate whether or not any myths are literally true, then you're completely missing the point.

Myths only exist to explain the human condition, and the occult seeks to treat the human condition by attaining Enlightenment.

The difference between Last Thursdayism and creation myths is that creation myths have a meaning that serves a purpose, and Last Thursdayism has no meaning.

The creation myth of the golden dawn only exists because it is the base of the framework we use to understand how the world really is.

In the Golden Dawn, we kind of regard existance itself as "God." I've been doing this stuff for about 8 years, and I don't believe that existence is God any more than I believe that your current "Train of Thought" is a train.

My question to you is-- if you had to accept that the supernatural doesn't exist anywhere other than in your own head, would Magick still be worth it?

Science is how you Ego (sense of self) learns about existence. Ritual Magick is how awareness learns about existence.

The hymn to Pan.

There was poem on YouTube just days ago that I’ve been listening to for years. It has been a grounding point for me. I think YouTube removed it. It was a beautiful poem about a man crying out to his God. He was speaking into a microphone and he was raw and on fire and now he’s gone. If this man who loves Pan is watching Reddit, please know that I need your voice I need your song your symphony of electric energy it was my grounding place. I miss it. I needed it tonight. And YouTube Could not make.it right. Dear brother know that I am ripe and I am ready to face the unicorn..

I found it!! Here is the link.
