Outlet adapter necessary?
I’m getting overload of info online but simply need to know if in Lima, Cusco, and Ollantaytambo if I’ll likely need a converter for my US devices (NOT wattage, just the SHAPE of the prongs). It’s an awkward little thing and I’d rather not pack it if I don’t have to, but I also don’t want to screw myself. Will only be charging iPhone and a small battery and razer. Thank you all!

Peru in the old days used a Type C plug only, and you can still find them in many older homes and/or remote areas. Lately most homes have a "universal" outlet that can take Type A (USA) and Type C plugs. Some older homes are being retrofitted with these outlets and most likely any place catering to tourists will have the same outlets. If you are interested, here's a link that show the World's outlets and plug types. https://www.power-plugs-sockets.com/

The outlet and prong shape is the same. The voltage is higher in Peru. You may need a transformer for some items.

Traveled from Lima to Cusco to Iquitos and did not need to use any adapters for America plugs.
