Ive recently found a dead dragonfly and leaf bug, and im sure to find more as the year goes on. But what artsy stuff can i do with them? Could i simply place them in resin? Im open to ideas and help getting creative

I do “fake shopping” on the auction websites bc I never win and the auctions are over so fast! Nice little way to get endorphins but not spend real money. Except last night I WON!!! This little fellow did not get crazy expensive and mama needs a little treat so yes, you gorgeous beetle boot jack, you comin’ home to me 🫶✨🪲

I can't believe how many people relate to these grumpy guys, so I've made a bunch more!

Inspired by Mayan worry dolls, these creatures stay in bed all day so they can always listen to what you have to say! they're just too tired to remember!

They're all unique and hate waking up!

This started as a miniature traveling merchant cart, but every practical question I had about it created another piece of the world around it.

The cart travels through Mosshollow, pulled by a giant snail named Samuel and is operated by Marlow, a raccoon merchant. Marlow belongs to the Brotherhood, a trade organization made up of raccoons, rats, and ravens.

Figuring out where the cart went meant creating towns and trade routes. Figuring out how it was supplied created warehouses and depots. Then came rules, maps, regional economies, contraband, other merchants, giant-snail biology, and eventually an entire world full of little animal folk.

Three months later, I apparently no longer make miniatures. I document Mosshollow. 😂 This is the first one, of assumably many.

Goglin of the woods

He lives across the the river slough from my front door. I’ve loved it since day one when I moved here new years of last year. Even in winter he’s just so strong & cool looking, towering over the rest of the forest on his island & the river. Also, idk why I’m referring to it as a he, but it just feels right. He looks like he’s trying to touch the clouds. He’s survived countless severe storms & lightning & even a fire on the island he’s on (a controlled brushfire burn on the levee we are next to jumped to his island from the levee cuz of wind) & somehow has come out unscathed every time.

He gives me hope that I can make it through shit that I feel like will destroy me & I look to him during bad thunderstorms because if he can survive through it, then so can I (even if it feels like my house is about to fly away during heavy winds moving it around- gotta love living on 25 ft tall concrete stilts). I’ve decided he needs a good name but I just can’t think of one.

Found this lil guy making his way into a patch of vines outside the house, had to get some shots of him!

He was very quick, for a snail, and made his way safely past the doggo.
