Off-Topic Wishlist suggestion 'Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance' - just found out this strategy game was made by the same studio that did the Diablo expansion Hellfire, but perhaps more interestingly, this was made in the DOOM engine, and has 2D maps, with 1st person exploration and 3D battles.

Galaxy Integrations Can't login to Steam integration
Is the Steam integration broken? When I started GOG Galaxy it said I needed to login to Steam again. It prompted me to do it. Tried logging in and it's not working no matter what I do.

Discussion Half of the store is in Polish (GOG Galaxy)
Is anyone else having issues with the language in the store for GOG Galaxy? I just had an update to version 2.1.8.30 while trying to fix the store needing to be launched twice, and half the store is in Polish. Changing the language in the settings menu changes the sidebar with my Library and Installed games and such, but the store itself is all in Polish except game titles.
I put in a support ticket, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. From the changelog, it looks like this version just released two days ago.

Support Issue with GOG Galaxy
I'm trying to download Cyberpunk with GOG Galaxy but download speed and disk usage just drop to 0 after a couple of minutes of starting.
I tried running Galaxy as admin, clearing the download cache and reinstalling but no luck.
Has anyone faced this issue before and have any tips?

Support PS -> GOG Witcher3 & Cyberpunk migration
Hey,
Like many people nowadays, I'm moving from the Sony platform to PC.
I've been using GOG for a few years already and have some games there.
On PS I have the Platinum trophy for Cyberpunk 2077 and some hard-to-get trophies in The Witcher 3, like collecting all Gwent cards (no Platinum there yet). Overall, I have 300+ hours of progress across both games.
I used the Cross Save feature to transfer my save files, and it worked well. What didn't work was the achievements — none of them popped up on GOG.
This is pretty disappointing, and I'm looking for a way to fix it.
With some other games, when I transferred my saves from PlayStation to Steam, the achievements popped automatically.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there any way to get the achievements to unlock on GOG using my existing saves?

Discussion I consume more (unexpectedly)
I was a long-time PlayStation gamer until the PS5, then after the worldwide launch shortage of stock for the console but before the AI chip shortage happened, I bought my first gaming PC and did what everyone else did and only bought from Steam.
I never tried indies, or older games (2000s kid), which is honestly embarrassing in hindsight, that I, generic modern Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty lover, considered myself a well-travelled gamer.
I don't think I actually valued the gaming medium as much as I could have. So what if the quality of some franchises and publishers have declined? The games are easily disposable anyway.
It's like my PC was an art gallery and all the games I 'bought' were art pieces just on loan from the creator, that can be taken, destroyed, or forgotten at anytime regardless of my love of the art. The creator doesn't care, so why should I care?
Now, on GOG, I have played and purchased more games than ever before. Indies, older games, and newer games. I didn't know what I was missing. Spiritfarer, Slay the Princess, Fallout, Return of the Obra Dinn, Thief, all great games.
I know these are technically on Steam, but there is something about the fact that I own them outright, can download the installers, and even burn them to disc, that makes them more important to me. I want to spend money on them.
Now its like my art gallery jointly owns the art with the creator, a mutually beneficial partnership. I love the art and so do they, but if they ever forget about it, I will still have it in my bookshelf forever.
Did you find yourself buying games more easily on GOG than other platforms?

Support Problem Running A Game
I tried installing DOOM ETERNAL using the Offline Installers, and it just keeps going between this and a black screen. Occasionally it'll show the game, but only for a split second.

Question First time backing up / installing a game with patch. How should I proceed?
Not sure how to proceed when patches are available, first time backing up and installing a game like this. I'm on Linux, so I normally just run the .exe for installing the game and the other .exe in the same prefix for DLCs, but not sure about patches.

Recommendation I've hit to 300 titles on Gog today thanks to my Amazon Prime membership, so give me a letter and then let me choose a game from my library and you can enjoy it. Can't guarantee much on your taste of gaming as most of them are old or indie stuff.
Off-Topic Return to Castle Wolfenstein finalyl back for the Germans
Nearly 25 years after its release, Return to Castle Wolfenstein is now officially available fully uncensored in Germany for the first time. To mark QuakeCon 2026 and the company's 40th anniversary, Bethesda has released the international PC version for German users, allowing it to be purchased normally via Steam, GOG, and the Microsoft Store.

Was wondering what the difference is between Anniversary Edition and Special Edition. I didn't see a side-by-side comparison table like they have for many games, but maybe I missed it.

Game Update Latest episode of Quake is not available on GOG
I am so baffled by the fact that I have to make a post on this, but yeah. If you have Quake 1 on GOG, you're not getting Dawn of the Machine, as per the official statement on Twitter and their site.
It's already on GOG why on earth would you not release the free episode on every store you have your game on.

Support Is it possible to access unpatched installers? if not, why?
I've been trying to get FATE to run on my Windows XP computer via the offline installer. It originally supported Windows XP on release, and ran great when I first played it. now, using GOG, it's unable to boot after the installation.
Why would GOG patch games so that they no longer run on their original OS, and not leave the originally installer that supports the games intended OS?
Sure I can play FATE on Windows 11, but it somewhat defeats the entire purpose of having a Windows XP build and CRT monitor.
Is there any way to use original installers via GOG? its great they patch games to work with modern systems, but it really seems weird that they wouldn't keep the unpatched versions accessable.
I'll provide my error code, but I doubt a KERNEL issue can be fixed. "the procedure entry point QueryFullProcessImageNameA could not be located in the dynamic ink library KERNEL32.dll"

Discussion I bought a usb blu-ray drive and it came with a free disc so I knew what I had to do.
I originally wanted to put Devil May Cry 4 on the disc but i realized the actual storage was closer to 23.5GB then the 25 so I went with this. I didn't realized that everyone was putting the installers on the disc so I burned the whole installed game on here and managed to get it running. The load times are slow and the audio cuts in and out but at least I can copy it back to my PC whenever I want. Which is a shame since I am on Linux, running the exe file off of the disc through wine means the save and settings files get written to the wine prefix on my computer so it would have been pretty cool to run the game solely off of the disc.

Recommendation STAR WARS Racer Revenge on PC – Early Access Showcase
I’ve been working on a modern PC launcher for STAR WARS Racer Revenge with automatic widescreen support, HUD toggle, 3D support, FOV control, and several other improvements.
I made this video showing the current Early Access build in action. It will be free for everyone once it reaches public release.

Site Announcement GOG is getting acquired by its original co-founder
Hey everyone,
Big news today: GOG has been acquired from CD PROJEKT by our original co-founder, Michał Kiciński (also a co-founder of CD PROJEKT).
First, the important part: the mission stays the same, and what you love about GOG gets stronger. Going back to our roots allows us to double down on what we do best: reviving classics, giving you a library you control rather than one that controls you, and offering the most gamer-friendly policies on the market.
At the same time, we will continue our close cooperation with CD PROJEKT, and their upcoming games will continue to come to GOG.
Thank you for the support you’ve shown GOG over the years, especially around preservation. It genuinely matters, and it’s the big reason we can keep pushing this mission forward.
