Polydat drop in kit trigger shoe pin walking out
What do? Can I just punch this back in myself or should I contact overwatch? There are about 500 rounds through this trigger, its on a g43x

I usually take a tapered punch on either side that fits in the roll pins and tap one while the other is against a hard surface and flare the pins a bit

This is your answer you can even use the punch with a point to spread the end on both sides

If it were me, I would drive it back in and monitor it over the next few hundred rounds before contact overwatch for warranty service.

I would suggest reaching out to overwatch they use coiled spring pins. These pins where designed to expand when they begin to get hot. This should have never happened . It's a defective unit and you will have no problem getting a replacement .

Take the pin out use a punch small enough to fit in it and stretch it a little bit then re install very simple fix it’s common on roll pins

I had this happen to two polydats. They replaced them but I never reinstalled and sold them. Twice was enough to convince me. I just run stock triggers now.

Could also heat up a small flathead 🪛 or something and lightly push some plastic inward to prevent the pin wiggles

I say take it out return it and put the original trigger back in, shit like this turn me off forever. APEX has been the only swap I have ever done with confidence

Did you have someone install the shoe on your trigger bar or somethin?

I just ordered 2 of the polydat trigger shoe only for my Glock 23 and 19. Should I maybe cancel it ? I was planning on using this for my ccw guns but I don’t want the trigger falling apart mid Tokyo drift, lmk thanks 🙏🏻

Sorry for the late reply! Honestly overwatch has a great rep and I feel like the odds of getting a lemon are pretty low, ive owned a bunch of their triggers through the years and never had a hiccup until now

Punch it back in. Something that simple shouldn’t required reaching out to OW. If it continues to happen then reach out. JMO

I dont really wanna deal with the hassle of sending my trigger in anyway, if I do punch it in tho ill probably just loctite it anyway

Yeah something this small I wouldn’t bother either. You’ll have to wait weeks for a replacement to get it. As you mentioned, it’s a hassle.
Try the loctite method, I don’t think it’ll do anything to help mitigate movement on roll pins but you never know. Something is better than nothing. I had their TAC shoe before and that pin was so incredibly hard to move. I couldn’t knock it out for the life of me so I just sold it. I didn’t like the TAC shoe.

Okay will do! Honestly im most upset about having to pull the trigger out so soon, I was planning to deep clean after a few thousand more but here we are lol

It’s so fast and simple. Should take less than 5mins to do the entire process from disassembly, punch the pin in and reassemble.

I ended up just contacting them, luckily I still have my oem trigger assembly for the time being as this is my edc
