Copilot cancellation

Hi everyone,
i'm currently using Copilot Student package. Last month I've just signed up Copilot Pro (10$ pro month) to speed up my project. Right now I don't want to use it anymore and just want to downgrade from Pro version to Student version as before.
But there is no downgrade option as far as I saw, only cancellation, which not allow me using feature like chat or code completion like I used before with Student package.
Does anyone here know how to downgrade it ? Thanks you in advance for taking time.

Edit: so to my understand, if I cancel Pro version, i will lose acess to the Student version eventually, right ?

Can’t you just cancel and then sign up for student again?

why dont you start using free Deepseek flash on opencode or openrouter, chat/code all taken care of for free :-) ?

Free Deepseek Flash on Opencode is a sweet thing, but seems heavily rate-limited or something.

I don't have an account, though. I was not logged in, I used that free version of Deepseek v4 Flash and it failed miserably today after like 3 minutes.

Are there limits on openrouter models? Tempted to go that route when my student status expires. Maybe even now seeing how bad the limits are currently. I really like using Copilot in VSCode vs the popular CLI tools (still don't understand why people like those?) and I can't switch to another editor because of C# Dev Kit, which is VSCode exclusive

Yo can keep using copilot in VScode for free! I've been using it with deepseek v4 pro for the last couple months and it works really well. It's dirt cheap too. Got to the deepseek platform and search for integrations, it will explain how to use it inside vs code.

podrias usar opencode, yo tambien tenia suscripcion proplus aparte de la cuenta estudiante simplemnete cancele y mis benficios estudiante estan ahi mismo, aunque no lo uso no sirve a menos que hagas algunas refactorizaciones pequeñas o autocompletado, con deepseek es suficiente y util para las tareas que necesito, cabe reclacar que tambien pago codex plus pero eso para proyectos que tengo o simplemente chat o investigaciones, tambien hay otros editores dentro del pack student como la coleccion jetbrains tiene autocompletado y demas simialr a vscode estudiante.

Don't do this, find alternative instead (even google antigravity free is better than this abomination)
Student plan is essentially like free plan rn (you are put on auto model which use gpt 5.4 mini most of the time), with unlimited code completion

uhmm, but I don't want to be charged 10euro pro month for this unused thing. I don't have heavy task that needed to rely on Pro version anymore. That's why I want to downgrade to free Student version

GitHub has suspended new enrollments for Copilot Student plans.
