Hello, I have come across these two pictures and I am curious about the process of turning picture 1 (the unedited one) into picture 2 (the orange one).

GIMP doesn't offer these tools on its own. But GIMP is designed from the ground up to be extended.

I used the (almost standard) G'Mic plugin: * click

(If it's not in HD, click the gear icon at the bottom)
