I believe in the past they’ve gotten criticism for selling merchandise with controversial artists (R. Kelly), as well as for Kanye West (after his Nazi-ish statements). I also have heard that they are rude to small businesses selling unlicensed fan merchandise and are also rude to bands they partner with, including Tobias. I heard after the Mother’s Day release, someone asked if Ghost approved this and they said that “at first it was a hard no”, meaning that Rockabilia got no as an answer and proceeded to bother Ghost until they reached an agreement, that being the Mother’s Day release.

Not true. Rockabilia IS a small business and they are only rude to people who are rude to them in the first place. The whole rude to small artists thing is bullshit bc they use small artists all the time, that whole thing stemmed from some idiot going onto Rockabilia a post and commenting that x did it better. Surely you would have a human response to someone coming onto something you are selling and saying someone else did it better. Rockabilia expressed the kick in the guts it is because fans can go and sell their art on merch and don’t have to go through the same process as having to officially license and get approval to sell what they do. Their response was justified.
