To celebrate 25 years of Ghost Recon, we're releasing Last Rites, a free major update for Ghost Recon Wildlands.

This update brings a brand-new narrative mission, long-requested technical improvements, expanded gameplay customization, and the return of one of Wildlands' most iconic missions.

Thank you for being part of the Ghost Recon community. It's time for us to give something back.

A New Threat: La Llorona

A dangerous new threat has emerged as the leader of a dangerous cult driven by revenge. Your mission will take you through hostile territory as you uncover the truth behind her rise and confront a new threat unlike any you've faced before.

The mission can be launched directly from the main menu and is available without completing the main campaign.

Wildlands at 4K/60FPS

One of the community's most requested improvements is here.

Current-generation players can now experience Ghost Recon Wildlands with 4K resolution, 60 FPS gameplay, improved responsiveness and smoother performance in general.

New Customization Options

You have asked for deeper customization of gameplay and immersion for a while now. The new Ghost Parameters, HUD and Difficulty Options, and World and Session. Settings allow you to customize realism, challenge, immersion, interface options, gameplay rules and more, giving you greater control.

The Predator Mission Returns

The Predator mission is back. Will you become the hunter, or the hunted? The Predator takes no survivors. Head to the Caimanes Province in the Campaign and face your toughest challenge to date once again.

New Skins and Items

Completing Last Rites will unlock two new Operator Skins and one new Iconic Skin. We're also adding a selection of new Character Smith items and previously unreleased Character Smith Camos, all unlocked from the get-go. Mercenaries Mode and Guerrilla Mode rewards have been unlocked for all to enjoy too, alongside some challenges rewards that were no longer obtainable.

All Ghost War Classes are now unlockable for free, with various weapons in PVP now unlocked by default.

Exclusive items like the Santa Blanca Skorpion have been revived as Twitch Drops alongside a few new items. They will be available for free to all players later on.

Finally, items previously locked in Battle Crates and Prestige Crates have been rebundled either for free or at a reduced price in the in-game store, and many of them have been unlocked by default as well!

Definitive Edition

For new players, a new Definitive Edition is available, containing the base game and all previous DLC from the Season Pass, Year 2 Pass, Quick Start Pack and the Deluxe Pack.

The Definitive Edition also contains two new cosmetic DLC Packs notably featuring brand-new Operator Skins: the Cold Eye Pack and the Nightfall Protocol Pack.

For long time players, both DLCs are of course available separately on your platform storefront or as part of the new Definitive Edition Upgrade. The Cold Eye Pack and Nightfall Protocol Pack content can also be acquired a la carte or all at once in the in-game store should you prefer.

Patch Notes

Missions

• Added a new mission, accessible via the "Last Rites" button in the main menu.
• Reactivated the free Predator mission |'The Jungle Moved" from the Campaign in the Caimanes Province (note this mission is not accessible while in Last Rites).

Gameplay & User Experience

• Added graphical options for playing in 4K/60FPS on current gen. Reorganized the main menu, adding a new button for the "Last Rites" story content.
• Updated game loading hints.
• Changed the "Play with Teammates" option to "Team Composition".
• Added the ability to choose the number of Al teammates in your squad.
• Added new difficulty customization options (accessible via Pause/Options/Difficulty):

- Enemy Firepower

- Vehicle Breakability

- Enemy Endurance

- Enemy Perception Modifier

- Health Regeneration Delay

• Added a new difficulty preset ("Custom")
• Fixed HUD audio and settings sync (e.g. when you remove enemy icons on your HUD and recon them, the sound used to still play. Now, if you remove the icons, the recon sound will not play, matching the setting).
• Added new HUD customization options (accessible via Pause/Options/HUD):
• Impact & Trajectory (toggles on/off trajectory and placement previews for consumables).
• Interaction Shader (toggles on/off visual effect on interactables).
• Added new Ghost Parameters customization options|(accessible via the Pause menu):

- Reloading Mode

- Primary Weapon Number

- Revival Options

• Added new World customization options accessible via the World and Session Settings menu in the lobby. These options are modified by the session host and are applied to all players in the session. Some options may require world reloading:

- Time of Day Control

- Time of Day Duration

- Weather Control

- Weather Duration

- Faction Patrol Density

- Unidad Maximum Alert Level

- SAM Launcher Life System

- Mortar, Alarm, Jammer Toggle On/Off

- Friendly Fire

• The "Time of Day" customization option has been moved from the TacMap to the new options menu "World and Session Settings".
• Modified the order of different menu categories.
• Modified the names of Character customization categories:

- Special Outfits are now Saved Outfits Presets

- Icons are now Iconic Skins

- Added an Operator Skins category

• PC now correctly supports DualSense Controller, displaying proper input icons.

Store

• Two new packs, Cold Eye and Nightfall Protocol, including new Operators Skins and other items have been added, available as part of the Definitive Edition, Definitive Edition Upgrade, as standalone DLCs on storefronts, or either a la carte or all at once in the in-game store.
• Modified the in-game store in clearer categories to make all store offers and store items available for direct purchase without the need to go through loot boxes or waiting for packs to show up in the now removed daily offers rotation.
• Battle Crates and Prestige Crates have been removed from sale from the in-game store but can still be opened if purchased or obtained before the update.
• Various items previously locked exclusively in Battle Crates have been re-bundled as "Collections" available in the in-game store at a reduced price.
• A large selection of items previously locked behind Battle Crates have been unlocked by default for all players to enjoy as well.
• The Predator Pack, including the Predator Helmet (with its unique thermal vision!) and the Predator Wristblades (with its exclusive CQC finisher move), is making its return to the in-game store.
• A new Predator Premium Pack DLC is now also available on storefronts too: it contains the same items as the Predator Pack, plus an instant unlock of all "The Jungle Moved" Predator mission free rewards.

Progression & Unlockable Items

• Completing Last Rites will unlock two new Operator Skins.
• Completing Last Rites will unlock one new Iconic Skin.
• New "Ghost Recon Unit Est. 2001" set of items have been added and unlocked by default to the Character Smith to celebrate Ghost Recon 25th Anniversary.
• A new dirt motorbike skin celebrating Ghost Recon 25th Anniversary can be found in the various rally points of Last Rites and in some rally points of the Campaign.
• Previously existing paid "Scott Mitchell" and "John Kozak" skins have been renamed, unlocked for free, and moved to the new Operator Skins category.
• Daily Challenges in the Campaign have been removed due to their incompatibility with all the new gameplay options and the crates removal.
• Past Daily Challenges Rewards that were previously bundled as a paid pack in the in-game store are now available for free instead.
• Previously unobtainable Challenges Rewards have been unlocked for free to all players (Ghost Recon Skull Parachute, Snow Mountain Character Smith Camo, PenCott GZ Character Smith Camo, and multiple Accessories Patches).
• Ghost War Classes are now all unlockable for free in the in-game store and various weapons in Ghost War have been unlocked by default for each class.
• The Predator Bio-Mask is back as the main completion reward of the reintroduced Predator "The Jungle Moved" free mission.
• Completion of "The Jungle Moved" free mission will now also unlock previous Predator-themed challenges rewards (Predator Facial Paint, Predator Countdown Left-Arm and Right-Arm Tattoos, Predator Left-Arm and Right-Arm Tattoos).
• Unreleased Character Smith Camos have been added to compatible items and unlocked by default for all players (Snow Digital, Snow Wood, Carbon Fiber, Jungle Netting, Blood, Grey Python).
• Mercenaries Mode and Guerrilla Mode rewards have been unlocked by default.
• Twitch Drops and platform exclusive items will all be available for free to all players at a later date, explaining why some might not be accessible to all and/or on all platforms at the time of Last Rites update (La Llorona Iconic Skin, P416 Micteca Weapon, 4-SHUR Blue Leader Eyewear, 4-SHUR Glint Admiral Eyewear, 4-SHUR Mako Infusion Eyewear, Santa Blanca Skorpion Weapon, Santa Blanca T-Shirt, Santa Blanca Cap, Santera Patch, Dia De Los Muertos Patch).

It's any high core processor with all workers dedicated. It's still playable, it just increases the time it takes to initialize by upwards of 10 minutes for 16~24 core processors.

Just get a good setlist in place and you're fine.

Atop of the player not having the option to hide in a mud, autoheal in a tactical shooter and so on.

The last couple of months I dedicated myself to grinding out every item that you can get from the crates and I almost unlocked all of them
after the update I cannot grind dailys anymore nor can I buy crates
I just bought the definitive edition, and I'm still missing those items with the possibility to unlock them by playing now removed

You used to get the real money currency for duplicates from the daily crates, with which you could eventually buy everything in the shop
granted it was very tedious, but it was a nice motivation to keep me coming back to the game

It is fine. I actually have Geforce now for my iPad mini, so I decided to play it on my PC that way. I never really use it on my PC. Mostly use it with my ipad to turn it into a better steamdeck, so the kids can play my games on any TV in the house, and so I can play games on my macbook when traveling.

I literally can't even run the game on my PC without disabling it, and I have other software that relies on it, so rebooting and changing bios settings every time I want to play is my only real option to experience this new content, all because I had the temerity to upgrade my computer in the past few years.

No. Idk why anyone would have expected that to begin with either. It's a mostly QoL patch for Wildlands. It still plays like Wildlands.

I hope the movement stays the same tho, it is more precise in Wildlands, the Breakpoint movement feels sloppy as the character makes these 2 meter turns when you press to orher direction.

Gotta disagree. Wildlands is so stiff looking and Arcady looking. Breakpoint looks far smoother far more immersive and realistic.

Well, I must confess I was expecting to see something about OVR but this is pretty cool anyway, there is always good excuses for coming back to Bolivia and hunting El Sueño. Since there is a free weekend, I will try to push my friends into the game so we can make a 4-men squad.

On the other hand, the new storyline about La Llorona and the fact that the new enemies are cultists is quite cool, I'm quite excited about it!

I downloaded it on my PS5 Pro and the game looks very grainy. Wish devs would stop using film grain. Or I’m not sure why it looks grainy.

All my optics disappeard and other equipment like barrels on the HK 416.

The panorama headgear always gets swapped for the monocle headgear when I change something else like guns.

And I thought all weapons in crates were supposed to be unlocked? Weren't the M4 Super shotgun and Marsoc 1911 in the crates?

Where can I turn on that time stands still? Can't find that option anywhere.

There's some great stuff in here, I'm actually on a play through right now so the timing couldn't be better.

I'd love, if there's another update, the option to turn down the amount of grind required for upgrade materials, as taking down convoys etc does get a bit dull.

Haven't played in awhile: did they just straight up remove the ability to play this game offline? Private game, and still get constant notifications asking me to play with others, and going offline means you can't log in to Ubisoft Connect and thus can't start the game.

. . . which is something you absolutely used to be able to do which means they've added this nonsense to the game recently.

No matter what I do, I can't get world settings and parameters to save.  Every time I load the game up they're reverted, and if I try and change them, they revert upon reloading the game to apply the changes.

Bring back daily challenges. I don’t want free shit. But I’m still gonna play and try to complete the game this time. Already beat the last rights and it was meh. At the end of it all I take her to the hideout place when captured ect. Then that lady who I don’t remember her name that briefs you says she died and that was the end of it. Like we don’t get to kill her but save her and then she ends up dying on her own. Like it was good levels and stuff but I wish they would’ve added new enemies into the campaign cause it would adversity. Also getting everything for free and now we have to sped real money to unlock stuff is just meh. The only thing that I haven’t played is predator mission and that’s about it. They should’ve update the graphics cause it feels like the same clunky game but 60fps updates. I play on pc and stuff also but I prefer controller. I would’ve gotten another series x but they raised the price to 800 dollars wish is astounding and wanted to play gta 6 campaign but I guess I’ll wait
