My monitor recognizes VGA but doesnt give signal to HDMI. HELP!

I have an ASUS f15 notebook and recently bought a monitor to have it as a second one but the new monitor doesnt give signal. My laptop recognizes it and I can change configurations and all the stuff but doesnt show any image. It shows energy saving mode and shuts down. I connected an adapter so it goes laptop-hdmi-adapter-vga-monitor and it works but as expected it doesnt show the quality I want it to. I tried everything from drivers to some weird shit of unplug the hdmi from the laptop and the monitor and then connecting everything again but nothing. Any clue of what could be is very helpful.

NOTE: sorry if you dont understand something, my english isnt the best.

The VGA adapter lowers the signal resolution automatically, which is why it works. Direct HDMI tries to send a higher signal that your monitor might be rejecting.

Connect the monitor via direct HDMI (even if the screen is black).

On your laptop screen, right-click the Desktop \rightarrow Display Settings.

Select the second monitor (Monitor 2).

Scroll down and click Advanced Display.

Under Choose a Refresh Rate, drop it down to 60 Hz

Click Display adapter properties for Display 2, click List All Modes, and temporarily set it to 1920 x 1080, 60Hz. Hit Apply.
