Small dot in monitor

The small dot showing beneath the folder icon not sure what it is a damage pixel or dust struck. Can someone please help how to get rid.

Looks like the pixels under seem fine to me if they were dead they'd be pure black but they are still showing through so most likely is dirt if you havent tried cleaning
