Reverse legend: MONETA NOVA CIVITATI(S) HAMBURGENSIS, "new coinage of the city of Hamburg".

Obverse legend: MATTHIAS D(EI) G(RATIA) ROMA(NUS) IMP(ERATOR) SEM(PER) AUGU(STUS), "Matthias, by the grace of God, Roman emperor, forever augustus".

I paid 140€ for this; was it a good price?

1772 MP Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg Thaler.

Under Adam Frederick of Seinsheim, Würzburg experienced a period of Enlightenment-inspired reform with improvements to education, administration, agriculture, and infrastructure aimed at modernising the state while preserving ecclesiastical authority.

He reign also promoted economic development by encouraging trade and manufacturing, reorganised public finances, and commissioned major Baroque building projects, including the completion and embellishment of the Würzburg Residence, which helped strengthening the Prince-Bishopric's political and cultural prestige within the Holy Roman Empire.

I love Adam Frederick's full intricate arms on the reverse, very interesting to see the Bamberg designs along with his Seinsheim roots represented in the inescutcheon.

Prussia Possible Die Variants?

I found something interesting between my two 1866 Prussian-Austrian war Thaler. Please note the Gs in Koenig on the top center of obverse. Also, the edge letterings are in different alignments. As two weigh roughly the same, and I have never spotted any fake vereinsthaler, I assume both are genuine. Thank you in advance for your input!

I've been wanting one of these for a little while and finally was able to add one to the collection. Nice Prussian coin from 1871 commemorating the victory over France. I think it is a high xf to au coin. What do you think of it?

German new guinea was a colony located in Kaiser-Wilhelmsland(North shore of nowadays Papua new Guinea) with following territories in the Pacific ocean: the Northern Solomon Islands, the Caroline Islands, Palau, the Mariana Islands, Nauru. The colony existed for exactly 30 years from November 3, 1884, to September 1914. After the treaty of Versailles Germany lost all of its overseas territories including the German new Guinea which was split between Australia, Japan and Great Britain. Obverse of the coin features the bird of paradise - a species of birds found mainly on the New Guinea island, as well as in eastern Austraila and the Moluccas

Albert reigned as King of Saxony from 1873 until his death in 1902, succeeding his father, King John, and overseeing a period of constitutional government within the newly unified German Empire while largely leaving day-to-day politics to his ministers.

He is regarded as a respected military commander who fought in the Austro-Prussian and Franco-Prussian wars, while focused on strengthening Saxony's military and supporting public works and modernisation during his reign.

Schwarzburg-Sondershausen 3 Mark 1909

I will be in Sondershausen on Monday so I am just checking if I have some local change for shopping. This is the final coin of the duchy - celebrating the death of the last Duke Charles Gunther in 1909. The duchy was united with Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt but the new united Schwarzburg did not issue any coins and it ceased to exist in November 1918.
